8:1	In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them,
8:2	I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:
8:3	And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.
8:4	And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?
8:5	And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.
8:6	And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people.
8:7	And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them.
8:8	So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets.
8:9	And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.
8:10	And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
8:11	And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
8:12	And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.
8:13	And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side.
8:14	Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.
8:15	And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.
8:16	And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.
8:17	And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?
8:18	Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?
8:19	When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.
8:20	And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
8:21	And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?
8:22	And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
8:23	And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
8:24	And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
8:25	After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
8:26	And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.
8:27	And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?
8:28	And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.
8:29	And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
8:30	And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.
8:31	And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
8:32	And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
8:33	But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.
8:34	And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
8:35	For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
8:36	For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
8:37	Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
8:38	Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.


8:1	εν εκειναις ταις ημεραις παμπολλου οχλου οντος και μη εχοντων τι φαγωσιν προσκαλεσαμενος ο ιησους τους μαθητας αυτου λεγει αυτοις
8:2	σπλαγχνιζομαι επι τον οχλον οτι ηδη ημερας τρεις προσμενουσιν μοι και ουκ εχουσιν τι φαγωσιν
8:3	και εαν απολυσω αυτους νηστεις εις οικον αυτων εκλυθησονται εν τη οδω τινες γαρ αυτων μακροθεν ηκασιν
8:4	και απεκριθησαν αυτω οι μαθηται αυτου ποθεν τουτους δυνησεται τις ωδε χορτασαι αρτων επ ερημιας
8:5	και επηρωτα αυτους ποσους εχετε αρτους οι δε ειπον επτα
8:6	και παρηγγειλεν τω οχλω αναπεσειν επι της γης και λαβων τους επτα αρτους ευχαριστησας εκλασεν και εδιδου τοις μαθηταις αυτου ινα παραθωσιν και παρεθηκαν τω οχλω
8:7	και ειχον ιχθυδια ολιγα και ευλογησας ειπεν παραθειναι και αυτα
8:8	εφαγον δε και εχορτασθησαν και ηραν περισσευματα κλασματων επτα σπυριδας
8:9	ησαν δε οι φαγοντες ως τετρακισχιλιοι και απελυσεν αυτους
8:10	και ευθεως εμβας εις το πλοιον μετα των μαθητων αυτου ηλθεν εις τα μερη δαλμανουθα
8:11	και εξηλθον οι φαρισαιοι και ηρξαντο συζητειν αυτω ζητουντες παρ αυτου σημειον απο του ουρανου πειραζοντες αυτον
8:12	και αναστεναξας τω πνευματι αυτου λεγει τι η γενεα αυτη σημειον επιζητει αμην λεγω υμιν ει δοθησεται τη γενεα ταυτη σημειον
8:13	και αφεις αυτους εμβας παλιν εις το πλοιον απηλθεν εις το περαν
8:14	και επελαθοντο λαβειν αρτους και ει μη ενα αρτον ουκ ειχον μεθ εαυτων εν τω πλοιω
8:15	και διεστελλετο αυτοις λεγων ορατε βλεπετε απο της ζυμης των φαρισαιων και της ζυμης ηρωδου
8:16	και διελογιζοντο προς αλληλους λεγοντες οτι αρτους ουκ εχομεν
8:17	και γνους ο ιησους λεγει αυτοις τι διαλογιζεσθε οτι αρτους ουκ εχετε ουπω νοειτε ουδε συνιετε ετι πεπωρωμενην εχετε την καρδιαν υμων
8:18	οφθαλμους εχοντες ου βλεπετε και ωτα εχοντες ουκ ακουετε και ου μνημονευετε
8:19	οτε τους πεντε αρτους εκλασα εις τους πεντακισχιλιους ποσους κοφινους πληρεις κλασματων ηρατε λεγουσιν αυτω δωδεκα
8:20	οτε δε τους επτα εις τους τετρακισχιλιους ποσων σπυριδων πληρωματα κλασματων ηρατε οι δε ειπον επτα
8:21	και ελεγεν αυτοις πως ου συνιετε
8:22	και ερχεται εις βηθσαιδαν και φερουσιν αυτω τυφλον και παρακαλουσιν αυτον ινα αυτου αψηται
8:23	και επιλαβομενος της χειρος του τυφλου εξηγαγεν αυτον εξω της κωμης και πτυσας εις τα ομματα αυτου επιθεις τας χειρας αυτω επηρωτα αυτον ει τι βλεπει
8:24	και αναβλεψας ελεγεν βλεπω τους ανθρωπους οτι ως δενδρα ορω περιπατουντας
8:25	ειτα παλιν επεθηκεν τας χειρας επι τους οφθαλμους αυτου και εποιησεν αυτον αναβλεψαι και αποκατεσταθη και ενεβλεψεν τηλαυγως απαντας
8:26	και απεστειλεν αυτον εις τον οικον αυτου λεγων μηδε εις την κωμην εισελθης μηδε ειπης τινι εν τη κωμη
8:27	και εξηλθεν ο ιησους και οι μαθηται αυτου εις τας κωμας καισαρειας της φιλιππου και εν τη οδω επηρωτα τους μαθητας αυτου λεγων αυτοις τινα με λεγουσιν οι ανθρωποι ειναι
8:28	οι δε απεκριθησαν ιωαννην τον βαπτιστην και αλλοι ηλιαν αλλοι δε ενα των προφητων
8:29	και αυτος λεγει αυτοις υμεις δε τινα με λεγετε ειναι αποκριθεις δε ο πετρος λεγει αυτω συ ει ο χριστος
8:30	και επετιμησεν αυτοις ινα μηδενι λεγωσιν περι αυτου
8:31	και ηρξατο διδασκειν αυτους οτι δει τον υιον του ανθρωπου πολλα παθειν και αποδοκιμασθηναι απο των πρεσβυτερων και αρχιερεων και γραμματεων και αποκτανθηναι και μετα τρεις ημερας αναστηναι
8:32	και παρρησια τον λογον ελαλει και προσλαβομενος αυτον ο πετρος ηρξατο επιτιμαν αυτω
8:33	ο δε επιστραφεις και ιδων τους μαθητας αυτου επετιμησεν τω πετρω λεγων υπαγε οπισω μου σατανα οτι ου φρονεις τα του θεου αλλα τα των ανθρωπων
8:34	και προσκαλεσαμενος τον οχλον συν τοις μαθηταις αυτου ειπεν αυτοις οστις θελει οπισω μου ελθειν απαρνησασθω εαυτον και αρατω τον σταυρον αυτου και ακολουθειτω μοι
8:35	ος γαρ αν θελη την ψυχην αυτου σωσαι απολεσει αυτην ος δ αν απολεση την ψυχην αυτου ενεκεν εμου και του ευαγγελιου ουτος σωσει αυτην
8:36	τι γαρ ωφελησει ανθρωπον εαν κερδηση τον κοσμον ολον και ζημιωθη την ψυχην αυτου
8:37	η τι δωσει ανθρωπος ανταλλαγμα της ψυχης αυτου
8:38	ος γαρ αν επαισχυνθη με και τους εμους λογους εν τη γενεα ταυτη τη μοιχαλιδι και αμαρτωλω και ο υιος του ανθρωπου επαισχυνθησεται αυτον οταν ελθη εν τη δοξη του πατρος αυτου μετα των αγγελων των αγιων


8:1	In those dayes whe ther was a very greate companye and had nothinge to eate Iesus called his disciples to him and sayd vnto the:
8:2	I have copassion on this people because they have nowe bene with me .iii. dayes and have nothinge to eate:
8:3	And yf I shuld sende the awaye fastinge to their awne houses they shulde faynt by the waye. For dyvers of the came from farre.
8:4	And his disciples answered him: where shuld a man have breade here in the wildernes to satisfie these?
8:5	And he axed them: how many loves have ye? They sayde: seven.
8:6	And he commaunded the people to syt doune on the grounde. And he toke the .vii. loves gave thankes brake and gave to his disciples to set before them. And they dyd set the before the people.
8:7	And they had a feawe smale fysshes. And he blessed them and comaunded them also to be set before them.
8:8	And they ate and were suffysed: And they toke vp yf the broken meate that was lefte .vii. baskettes full.
8:9	And they yt ate were in nomber aboute fowre thousand. And he sent them awaye.
8:10	And a none he entred into a ship wt his disciples and came into the parties of Dalmanutha.
8:11	And the pharises cam forth and begane to dispute with him sekinge of him a signe fro heven and temptinge him.
8:12	And he sygthed in his sprete and sayde: why doth this generacion seke a signe? Verely I saye vnto you ther shall no signe be geven vnto this generacion.
8:13	And he lefte the and went into the ship agayne and departed over the water.
8:14	And they had forgotte to take breed wt the nether had they in the ship with them more then one loofe.
8:15	And he charged the sayinge. Take hede and beware of ye leven of ye pharises and of ye leve of Herode.
8:16	And they reasoned amonge the selves sayinge: we have no breed
8:17	And whe Iesus knewe yt he sayde vnto the: why take ye thought because ye have no bread? perceave ye not yet nether vnderstonde? Have ye youre hertes yet blynded?
8:18	Have ye eyes and se not? and have ye eares and heare not? Do ye not remember?
8:19	When I brake v. loves amonge .v.M. How many baskettes full of broke meate toke ye vp? They sayde vnto him twelve.
8:20	When I brake .vii. amonge .iiii. M. How many basketes of the levinges of broken meate toke ye vp? they sayde .vii.
8:21	And he sayde vnto the: how is it yt ye vnderstonde not?
8:22	And he came to Bethsaida and they brought a blynde man vnto him and desyred him to touche him.
8:23	And he caught the blynde by the honde and leade him out of the toune and spat in his eyes and put his hondes apon him and axed him whether he saw ought.
8:24	And he loked vp and sayde: I se ye men: For I se the walke as they were trees.
8:25	After that he put his hondes agayne apon his eyes and made him see. And he was restored to his sight and sawe every ma clerly.
8:26	And he sent him home to his housse sayinge: nether goo into the toune nor tell it to eny in the toune.
8:27	And Iesus went out and his disciples into the tounes that longe to the cite called Cesarea Philippi. Aud by the waye he axed his disciples sayinge: whom do men saye yt I am?
8:28	And they answered: some saye that thou arte Iohn Baptiste: some saye Helyas: and some one of the Prophetes.
8:29	And he sayde vnto the: But whom saye ye that I am? Peter answered and sayd vnto him: Thou arte very Christe.
8:30	And he charged them that they shuld tell no man of it.
8:31	And he beganne to teache them how that the sonne of man must suffre many thinges and shuld be reproved of the elders and of the hye prestes and scribes and be kylled and after thre dayes aryse agayne.
8:32	And he spake that sayinge openly. And Peter toke him asyde and began to chyde him.
8:33	Then he tourned aboute and looked on his disciples and rebuked Peter sayinge: Goo after me Satan. For thou saverest not ye thinges of God but the thinges of men.
8:34	And he called the people vnto him with his disciples also and sayd vnto them: Whosoever will folowe me let him forsake him sylfe and take vp his crosse and folowe me.
8:35	For whosoever will save his lyfe shall lose it But whosoever shall lose his lyfe for my sake and ye gospels ye same shall save it.
8:36	What shall it profet a ma yf he shuld wynne all ye worlde and loose his awne soule?
8:37	or els what shall a ma geve to redeme his soule agayne?
8:38	Whosoever therfore shall be asshamed of me and of my wordes amonge this advoutrous and sinfull generacion: of him shall the sonne of man be ashamed when he cometh in the glory of his father wt the holy angels.
