9:1And he saide vnto them, Verely I say vnto you, that there be some of them that stande here, which shall not taste of death till they haue seene the kingdome of God come with power.
9:2And sixe dayes after, Iesus taketh vnto him Peter, and Iames, and Iohn, and carieth them vp into an hie mountaine out of the way alone, and his shape was changed before them.
9:3And his rayment did shine, and was very white, as snowe, so white as no fuller can make vpon the earth.
9:4And there appeared vnto them Elias with Moses, and they were talking with Iesus.
9:5Then Peter answered, and said to Iesus, Master, it is good for vs to be here: let vs make also three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
9:6Yet hee knewe not what he saide: for they were afraide.
9:7And there was a cloude that shadowed them, and a voyce came out of the cloude, saying, This is my beloued Sonne: heare him.
9:8And suddenly they looked roud about, and sawe no more any man saue Iesus only with them.
9:9And as they came downe from the mountaine, he charged them, that they should tell no man what they had seene, saue when the Sonne of man were risen from the dead againe.
9:10So they kept that matter to themselues, and demaunded one of another, what the rising from the dead againe should meane?
9:11Also they asked him, saying, Why say the Scribes, that Elias must first come?
9:12And he answered, and said vnto them, Elias verely shall first come, and restore all things: and as it is written of the Sonne of man, hee must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
9:13But I say vnto you, that Elias is come, (and they haue done vnto him whatsoeuer they would) as it is written of him.
9:14And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the Scribes disputing with them.
9:15And straightway all the people, when they behelde him, were amased, and ranne to him, and saluted him.
9:16Then hee asked the Scribes, What dispute you among your selues?
9:17And one of the companie answered, and said, Master, I haue brought my sonne vnto thee, which hath a dumme spirit:
9:18And wheresoeuer he taketh him, he teareth him, and he fometh, and gnasheth his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples, that they should cast him out, and they could not.
9:19Then he answered him, and said, O faithlesse generation, how long now shall I be with you! how long now shall I suffer you! Bring him vnto me.
9:20So they brought him vnto him: and assoone as the spirit sawe him, hee tare him, and hee fell downe on the ground walowing and foming.
9:21Then he asked his father, How long time is it since he hath bin thus? And he said, Of a childe.
9:22And oft times he casteth him into the fire, and into the water to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, helpe vs, and haue compassion vpon vs.
9:23And Iesus said vnto him, If thou canst beleeue it, al things are possible to him that beleeueth.
9:24And straightway the father of the childe crying with teares, saide, Lord, I beleeue: helpe my vnbeliefe.
9:25When Iesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the vncleane spirit, saying vnto him, Thou domme and deafe spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
9:26Then the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out, and he was as one dead, in so much that many said, He is dead.
9:27But Iesus tooke his hande, and lift him vp, and he arose.
9:28And when hee was come into the house, his disciples asked him secretly, Why could not we cast him out?
9:29And he saide vnto them, This kinde can by no other meanes come foorth, but by prayer and fasting.
9:30And they departed thence, and went together through Galile, and hee would not that any should haue knowen it.
9:31For he taught his disciples, and saide vnto them, The Sonne of man shalbe deliuered into the handes of men, and they shall kill him, but after that he is killed, he shall rise againe the third day.
9:32But they vnderstoode not that saying, and were afraide to aske him.
9:33After, he came to Capernaum: and when he was in the house, he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among you by the way?
9:34And they helde their peace: for by the way they reasoned among themselues, who should bee the chiefest.
9:35And he sate downe, and called the twelue, and said to them, If any man desire to be first, the same shalbe last of all, and seruant vnto all.
9:36And he tooke a litle childe, and set him in the middes of them, and tooke him in his armes, and sayd vnto them,
9:37Whosoeuer shall receiue one of such litle children in my Name, receiueth me: and whosoeuer receiueth mee, receiueth not me, but him that sent me.
9:38Then Iohn answered him, saying, Master, we sawe one casting out deuils by thy Name, which followeth not vs, and we forbade him, because he followeth vs not.
9:39But Iesus sayd, Forbid him not: for there is no man that can doe a miracle by my Name, that can lightly speake euill of me.
9:40For whosoeuer is not against vs, is on our part.
9:41And whosoeuer shall giue you a cup of water to drinke for my Names sake, because ye belong to Christ, verely I say vnto you, he shall not lose his rewarde.
9:42And whosoeuer shall offend one of these litle ones, that beleeue in me, it were better for him rather, that a milstone were hanged about his necke, and that he were cast into the sea.
9:43Wherefore, if thine hand cause thee to offend, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life, maimed, then hauing two hands, to goe into hell, into the fire that neuer shalbe quenched,
9:44Where their worme dyeth not, and the fire neuer goeth out.
9:45Likewise, if thy foote cause thee to offend, cut it off: it is better for thee to go halt into life, then hauing two feete, to be cast into hell, into the fire that neuer shalbe quenched,
9:46Where their worme dyeth not, and the fire neuer goeth out.
9:47And if thine eye cause thee to offende, plucke it out: it is better for thee to goe into the kingdome of God with one eye, then hauing two eyes, to be cast into hell fire,
9:48Where their worme dyeth not, and the fire neuer goeth out.
9:49For euery man shalbe salted with fire: and euery sacrifice shalbe salted with salt.
9:50Salt is good: but if the salt be vnsauerie, wherewith shall it be seasoned? haue salt in your selues, and haue peace one with another.

9:1And he sayde vnto them: Verely I saye vnto you: There be some of the that stonde here which shall not taste of deeth tyll they have sene the kyngdome of God come wt power.
9:2And after .vi. dayes Iesus toke Peter Iames and Iohn and leede them vp into an hye mountayne out of ye waye alone and he was transfigured before them.
9:3And his rayment dyd shyne and was made very whyte even as snowe: so whyte as noo fuller can make apon the erth.
9:4And ther apered vnto them Helyas with Moses: and they talked with Iesu.
9:5And Peter answered and sayde to Iesu: Master here is good beinge for vs let vs make .iii. tabernacles one for the one for Moses and one for Helyas.
9:6And yet he wist not what he sayde: for they were afrayde.
9:7And ther was a cloude that shaddowed the. And a voyce came out of the cloude sayinge: This is my dere sonne here him.
9:8And sodenly they loked rounde aboute them and sawe no man more then Iesus only wt the.
9:9And as they came doune from the hyll he charged the that they shuld tell no ma what they had sene tyll the sonne of man were rysen fro deeth agayne.
9:10And they kepte that sayinge with them and demaunded one of a nother what yt rysinge from deeth agayne shuld meane?
9:11And they axed him sayinge: why then saye ye scribe that Helyas muste fyrste come?
9:12He answered and sayde vnto them: Helyas verelye shall fyrst come and restore all thinges. And also ye sonne of ma as it is wrytte shall suffre many thinges and shall be set at nought.
9:13Moreouer I saye vnto you that Helyas is come and they have done vnto him whatsoever pleased them as it is wrytten of him.
9:14And he came to his disciples and sawe moche people aboute them and the scribes disputinge with them.
9:15And streyght waye all the people when they behelde him were amased and ran to him and saluted him.
9:16And he sayde vnto the Scribes: what dispute ye with them?
9:17And one of the copanye answered and sayde: Master I have brought my sonne vnto the which hath a dome spirite.
9:18And whensoever he taketh him he teareth him and he fometh and gnassheth with his tethe and pyneth awaye. And I spake to thy disciples that they shuld caste him out and they coulde not.
9:19He answered him and sayd: O generacion wt out faith how longe shall I be with you? How longe shall I suffre you? Bringe him vnto me.
9:20And they brought him vnto him. And assone as ye sprete sawe him he tare him. And he fell doune on the grounde walowinge and fomynge.
9:21And he axed his father: how longe is it a goo sens this hath happened him? And he sayde of a chylde:
9:22and ofte tymes casteth him into the fyre and also into the water to destroye him. But yf thou canste do eny thinge have mercy on vs and helpe vs.
9:23And Iesus sayde vnto him: ye yf thou couldest beleve all thinges are possible to him yt belevith.
9:24And streygth waye the father of the chylde cryed with teares sayinge: Lorde I beleve helpe myne vnbelefe.
9:25When Iesus sawe that the people came runnynge togedder vnto him he rebuked the foule sprete sayinge vnto him: Thou domme and deffe sprete I charge the come out of him and entre no more into him.
9:26And the sprete cryed and rent him sore and came out: And he was as one that had bene deed in so moche yt many sayde he is deed.
9:27But Iesus caught his honde and lyfte him vp: and he roose.
9:28And when he was come into the housse his disciples axed him secretly: why coulde not we caste him out?
9:29And he sayde vnto them: this kynde can by no nother meanes come forth but by prayer and fastynge.
9:30And they departed thens and toke their iorney thorow Galile and he wolde not that eny man shuld have knowen it.
9:31For he taught his disciples and sayde vnto them: The sonne of man shalbe delyvered into ye hondes of men and they shall kyll him and after that he is kylled he shall aryse agayne the thryd daye.
9:32But they wiste not what that sayinge meat and were affrayed to axe him.
9:33And he came to Capernaum. And when he was come to housse he axed the: what was it that ye disputed bytwene you by the waye?
9:34And they helde their peace: for by the waye they reasoned amonge the selves who shuld be the chefest.
9:35And he sate doune and called the twelve vnto him and sayd to them: yf eny man desyre to be fyrst the same shalbe last of all and servaunt vnto all.
9:36And he toke a chylde and set him in ye middes of them and toke him in his armes and sayde vnto them.
9:37Whosoever receave eny soche a chylde in my name receaveth me. And whosoever receaveth me receaveth not me but him that sent me.
9:38Iohn answered him sayinge: Master we sawe one castynge out devyls in thy name which foloweth not vs and we forbade him because he foloweth vs not.
9:39But Iesus sayde forbid him not. For ther is no ma that shall do a miracle in my name that can lightlyge speake evyll of me.
9:40Whosoever is not agaynste you is on youre parte.
9:41And whosoever shall geve you a cuppe of water to drinke for my names sake because ye belonge to Christe verely I saye vnto you he shall not loose his rewarde.
9:42And whosoever shall offende one of these lytelons yt beleve in me it were better for him yt a mylstone were hanged aboute his necke and yt he he were cast into ye see:
9:43wherfore yf thy hande offende ye cut him of. It is better for ye to entre into lyffe maymed then havynge two hondes goo into hell into fire yt never shalbe quenched
9:44where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.
9:45Lykewyse yf thy fote offende the cut him of. For it is better for the to goo halt into lyfe then havynge two fete to be cast into hell into fyre that never shalbe quenched:
9:46where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.
9:47Even so yf thyne eye offende the plucke him oute. It is better for the to goo into the kyngdom of god with one eye then havynge two eyes to be caste into hell fyre:
9:48where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.
9:49Every man therfore shalbe salted wt fyre: And every sacrifise shalbe seasoned with salt.
9:50Salt is good. But yf ye salt be vnsavery: what shall ye salte therwith? Se yt ye have salt in youre selves: and have peace amonge youre selves one with another.
