19:1	And he entred in and went thorowe Hierico.
19:2	And behold, ther was a man named Zacheus, which was a ruler amonge the Publicans, and was riche also.
19:3	And he made meanes to se Iesus, what he shulde be, and coulde not for the prease, because he was of a lowe stature.
19:4	Wherfore he ran before and ascended vp into a wylde figge tree, to se him: for he should come that same way.
19:5	And when Iesu came to the place, he loked vp and sawe hym, and sayed vnto hym: Zache, attonce come doune, for to daye I must abyde at thy house.
19:6	And he came doune hastelye & receyued hym ioyfullye.
19:7	And when they sawe that, they al groundged saiyng: He is gone into tarye with a man that is a synner.
19:8	And Zache stode forthe and sayed vnto the Lord, beholde Lord, the haulfe of my goodes I geue to the pore, and yf I haue done anye man wronge, I wyl restore hym foure folde:
19:9	And Iesus sayed to him: this daye is healthe come vnto thys house, for as muche as it also is become the chyld of Abraham.
19:10	For the sonne of man is come to seke, and to saue that which was loste.
19:11	As they hearde these thynges, he added therto a similitude, because he was nye to Hierusalem, and because also they thoughte that the kyngdome of God should shortly appere.
19:12	He sayde therfore: a certayne noble man wente into a farre countre, to receyue him a kyngdome, and then to come agayne.
19:13	And he called hys ten seruauntes, & deliuered them ten pounde saiynge vnto them? by and sell tyll I come.
19:14	But hys citisens hated hym, and sente messengers after hym, saiynge: we will not haue thys man to reygne ouer vs.
19:15	And it came to passe, when he was come agayne, and had receyued hys kyngdome, he commaunded these seruauntes, to be called to him (to whom he gaue hys money) to wyt what euery man had done.
19:16	Then came the fyrste saiynge: Lorde, thy pounde hath encreased ten pounde.
19:17	And he sayde vnto hym. Well good seruaunte, because thou waste faythful in a very lytell thynge, take thou authoritye ouer ten cities.
19:18	And the other came, saying: Lorde thy pounde hath encreased fyue pound.
19:19	And to the same he sayde, and be thou also ruler ouer .v. cities.
19:20	And the .iij. came & sayde: Lorde, behold here thy pounde, whiche I haue kept in a napkyn,
19:21	for I feared the, because thou art a strayt man, thou takest vp that thou laydest not doune, and reapest that thou dyddest not sowe.
19:22	And he sayde to him: Of thyne owne mouthe iudge I the thou euil seruaunt. Knowest thou that I am a strayte man takyng vp that I layde not doune, and reapyng that I did not sowe?
19:23	Wherfore then gauest not thou my money into the banke, that at my commynge I mighte haue requyred myne owne with vauntage.
19:24	And he sayed to them that stode by: take from hym that pounde, and geue it hym that hath ten pounde.
19:25	And they sayde vnto him: Lorde, he hath ten pounde.
19:26	I saye vnto you, that vnto all them that haue, it shalbe geuen: and from hym that hath not, euen that he hath shalbe taken from hym.
19:27	Moreouer those myne enemyes which woulde not that I should raigne ouer them, brynge hyther, and slea them before me.
19:28	And when he had thus spoken, he proceded forthe ascendyng vp to Ierusalem.
19:29	And it fortuned, when he was come nye Bethphage and Bethanye, besydes mounte oliuete, he sente two of hys disciples,
19:30	saiynge: Go ye into the toune whiche is ouer againste you, In the whiche assone as ye are come, ye shall fynde a colt tyed, whereon yet neuer man sate. Lewse him, and bring him hither.
19:31	And yf anye man axe you, why that ye lewse him: thus say vnto him: the Lorde hath nede of hym.
19:32	They that were sente, wente theyr waye, & founde as he had sayed vnto them.
19:33	And as they were alewsynge the colte, the owners sayed vnto them: why lewse ye the colte?
19:34	And they sayed: for the Lorde hath nede of hym.
19:35	And they broughte hym to Iesus. And they caste theyr raymente on the colte, and set Iesus theron.
19:36	And as he wente, they sprede theyr clothes in the waye.
19:37	And when he was nowe come, where he shoulde go doune from the mount Oliuete, the whole multitude of the discyples beganne to reioyce, and to laude God with a loude voyce for all the myracles that they had sene,
19:38	saying: Blessed be the kyng that cometh in the name of the Lorde: peace in heauen, and glorye in the hyest.
19:39	And some of the Phariseis of the companye sayde vnto him: Mayster rebuke thy disciples.
19:40	He aunswered and sayed vnto them: I tell you, yf these shoulde holde theyr peace, the stones woulde crye.
19:41	And when he was come neare, he behelde the citie, and wept on it,
19:42	saiyng: Yf thou haddest knowen those thynges which belong vnto thy peace, euen at thys thy tyme. But now are they hydde from thyne eyes.
19:43	For the dayes shall come vpon the, that thyne enemyes shal cast a banke aboute the, & compasse the round and kepe the on euerye syde,
19:44	and make the euen with the grounde, with children whiche are in the. And they shall not leaue in the one stone vpon another, because thou knowest not the tyme of thy visitacyon.
19:45	And he went into the temple, and beganne to cast oute them that solde therin, and them that boughte,
19:46	saiyng vnto them, it is wryten: my house is the house of prayer, but ye haue made it a den of theues.
19:47	And he taught daily in the temple. The hye Priestes and the Scribes and the chiefe of the people wente about to destroye hym,
19:48	but coulde not fynde what to do. For all the people stacke by hym, and gaue hym audience.

19:4	And he ran before, and clymed vp into a wylde fygge tree, to se him: for he was to come that waye.
19:5	And when Iesus cam to the place, he looked vp, and sawe hym, and sayd vnto him: Zache, come downe atonce, for to daye I must abyde at thy house.
19:6	And he came downe hastelye, and receaued hym ioyfully.
19:7	And when they sawe it, they all grudged, sayinge: He is gone in to tary with a man that is a synner.
19:8	And Zache stode forth, and sayd vnto the Lorde: beholde Lorde, the halfe of my goodes I geue to the poore: and yf I haue done eny man wronge, I restore him foure folde.
19:9	Iesus sayde vnto him: this daye is health happened vnto thys house, because that he also is become the chylde of Abraham:
19:10	For the sonne of man is come to seke, and to saue that whych was loste.
19:11	As they hearde these thynges, he added therto a parable, because he was nye to Ierusalem, and because they thought, that the kyngdome of God shulde shortly appeare.

19:15	And it came to passe, that when he had receaued his kingdome, he returned, & commaunded these seruauntes to be called vnto hym (to whom he had geuen the money) to wete how moch euery man had done.
19:16	Then came the fyrst, saying: Lorde, thy pounde hath gayned ten pounde.
19:17	And he sayd vnto hym: Well thou good seruaunt: because thou hast bene faythfull in a very lytell thynge, haue thou auctoryte ouer ten cyties.
19:18	And another came, sayinge: Lorde, thy pounde hath made fyue pounde.
19:19	And to the same he sayde: be thou also ruler ouer fyue cyties.
19:20	And another came, saying: Lorde, beholde here is thy pounde, whych I haue kepte in a napkyn:
19:21	for I feared the, because thou art a strayte man: thou takest vp that thou laydest not downe, and reapest that thou dyddest not sowe.
19:22	He sayeth vnto hym: Of thyne awne mouth, wyll I iugde the, thou euyll seruaunt. Knewest thou that I am a strayte man, takynge vp that I layde not downe, & reapynge that I dyd not sowe?
19:23	And wherfore gauest not thou my money into the banke, and at my commynge I myght haue required myne awne wyth vauntage?
19:24	And he sayd vnto them that stode by, take from hym that pounde, and geue it hym that hath ten pounde.
19:25	And they sayde vnto hym: Lorde, he hath ten pounde.
19:26	For I saye vnto you, that vnto euery one which hath, shalbe geuen & from him that hath not shalbe taken awaye, euen that whych he hath.
19:27	Moreouer, those myne enemyes, (whych wolde not that I shuld raygne ouer them) brynge hyther, and slee them before me.
19:28	And when he had thus spoken, he proceaded forth, takynge hys iourney, to go vp to Ierusalem.
19:29	And it fortuned, when he was come nye to Bethphage & Bethany, besydes the mounte whych is called Olyuete, he sent two of hys discyples
19:30	sayinge: go ye into the towne, which is ouer agaynst you: Into the whych assone as ye are come, ye shall fynde an asses coltetyed, wheron yet neuer man sate. Loose him, and bringe hym hyther.
19:31	And yf eny man aske you, why do ye loose him? thus shall ye saye vnto hym: the Lorde hath nede therof.
19:32	They that were sent, went their waye, and founde, euen as he had sayd vnto them.
19:33	And as they were a lossynge the colte, the owners therof sayd vnto them, why loose ye the colte?
19:34	And they sayde: for the Lorde hath nede of hym.
19:35	And they brought him to Iesus, and cast their rayment on the colte, and sett Iesus theron.
19:36	And as he went, they spredde theyr clothes in the waye.
19:37	And when he was now come nye to hye goyng downe of the mounte Olyuete, the whole multitude of the discyples began to reioyce, & to prayse God with a loude voyce, for all the myracles that they had sene,

19:41	And when he was come neare, he behelde the cytie, and wept on it,
19:42	sayinge: If thou haddest knowen those thynges whych belonge vnto thy peace, euen in thys thy daye, thou woldst take hede. But now are they hydde from thyne eyes.
19:43	For the dayes shall come vpon the, that thy enemyes also shall cast a banke aboute the, and compasse the rounde, and kepe the in on euery syde,
19:44	and make the euen wyth the grounde, and thy chyldren which are in the. And they shall not leaue in the one stone vpon another, because thou knowest not the tyme of thy visitacyon.
19:45	And he went into the temple, and beganne to cast out them that solde therin, and them that bought,
19:46	sayinge vnto them: It is written: my house is the house of prayer: but ye haue made it a den of theues:
19:47	And he taught dayly in the temple. But the hye Prestes & the scrybes and the chefe of the people went aboute to destroye hym:
19:48	& coulde not fynde what to do. For all the people stacke by hym, whan they hearde hym.

19:2	Beholde, there was a man named Zaccheus, which was the chiefe receiuer of the tribute, and he was riche.
19:3	And he sought to see Iesus, who hee should be, and coulde not for the preasse, because he was of a lowe stature.
19:4	Wherefore he ranne before, and climed vp into a wilde figge tree, that he might see him: for he should come that way.
19:5	And when Iesus came to the place, he looked vp, and saw him, and said vnto him, Zaccheus, come downe at once: for to day I must abide at thine house.
19:6	Then he came downe hastily, and receiued him ioyfully.
19:7	And when all they sawe it, they murmured, saying, that hee was gone in to lodge with a sinfull man.
19:8	And Zaccheus stood forth, and said vnto the Lord, Beholde, Lord, the halfe of my goods I giue to the poore: and if I haue taken from any man by forged cauillation, I restore him foure folde.
19:9	Then Iesus said to him, This day is saluation come vnto this house, forasmuch as hee is also become the sonne of Abraham.
19:10	For the Sonne of man is come to seeke, and to saue that which was lost.
19:11	And whiles they heard these thinges, hee continued and spake a parable, because hee was neere to Hierusalem, and because also they thought that the kingdom of God should shortly appeare.
19:12	He saide therefore, A certaine noble man went into a farre countrey, to receiue for himselfe a kingdome, and so to come againe.
19:13	And he called his ten seruants, and deliuered them ten pieces of money, and sayd vnto them, Occupie till I come.
19:14	Nowe his citizens hated him, and sent an ambassage after him, saying, We will not haue this man to reigne ouer vs.
19:15	And it came to passe, when hee was come againe, and had receiued his kingdome, that he commanded the seruants to be called to him, to whome he gaue his money, that he might knowe what euery man had gained.
19:16	Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy piece hath encreased ten pieces.
19:17	And he sayd vnto him, Well, good seruant: because thou hast bene faithfull in a very litle thing, take thou authoritie ouer ten cities.
19:18	And the second came, saying, Lord, thy piece hath encreased fiue pieces.
19:19	And to the same he sayd, Be thou also ruler ouer fiue cities.
19:20	So the other came, and sayd, Lord, beholde thy piece, which I haue laide vp in a napkin:
19:21	For I feared thee, because thou art a straight man: thou takest vp, that thou layedst not downe, and reapest that thou diddest not sowe.
19:22	Then he sayde vnto him, Of thine owne mouth will I iudge thee, O euill seruant. Thou knewest that I am a straight man, taking vp that I layd not downe, and reaping that I did not sowe.
19:23	Wherefore then gauest not thou my money into the banke, that at my coming I might haue required it with vantage?

19:30	Saying, Goe ye to the towne which is before you, wherein, assoone as ye are come, ye shall finde a colte tied, whereon neuer man sate: loose him, and bring him hither.
19:31	And if any man aske you, why ye loose him, thus shall ye say vnto him, Because the Lord hath neede of him.
19:32	So they that were sent, went their way, and found it as he had sayd vnto them.
19:33	And as they were loosing the colte, the owners thereof sayd vnto them, Why loose ye the colte?
19:34	And they sayd, The Lord hath neede of him.
19:35	So they brought him to Iesus, and they cast their garments on the colte, and set Iesus thereon.
19:36	And as he went, they spred their clothes in the way.
19:37	And when he was nowe come neere to the going downe of the mount of Oliues, the whole multitude of the disciples began to reioyce, and to prayse God with a loude voyce, for all the great workes that they had seene,
19:38	Saying, Blessed be the King that commeth in the Name of the Lord: peace in heauen, and glory in the highest places.
19:39	Then some of the Pharises of the companie sayd vnto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
19:40	But he answered, and sayd vnto them, I tell you, that if these should holde their peace, the stones would crie.
19:41	And when he was come neere, he behelde the Citie, and wept for it,
19:42	Saying, O if thou haddest euen knowen at the least in this thy day those things, which belong vnto thy peace! but nowe are they hid from thine eyes.
19:43	For the dayes shall come vpon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compasse thee round, and keepe thee in on euery side,
19:44	And shall make thee euen with ye ground, and thy children which are in thee, and they shall not leaue in thee a stone vpon a stone, because thou knewest not that season of thy visitation.
19:45	He went also into the Temple, and began to cast out them that solde therein, and them that bought,
19:46	Saying vnto them, It is written, Mine house is the house of prayer, but ye haue made it a denne of theeues.
19:47	And he taught dayly in the Temple. And the hie Priests and the Scribes, and the chiefe of the people sought to destroy him.
19:48	But they could not finde what they might doe to him: for all the people hanged vpon him when they heard him.
