21:1	Þa he hine be-seah; he ge-seah þa welian heore lac senden on þane sceoppan.
21:2	Ða ge-seah he sume earme wudewan bringen twegen ferðinges.
21:3	Þa cwæð he soð ic eow segge þæt þeos earme wudewe ælre mæst brohte.
21:4	Sodes ealle þas brohten gode lac of heore micelen welen. þeos wudewe brohte of þam þe hyo hafde ealle hire andlyfene.
21:5	& þa cwæð he to þam þe saiden be þam temple þt hit wære ge-glenged mid goden stanen & goden gyfen.
21:6	Ðas þing þe ge ge-seoð. þa dages cumeð on þan ne beoð stan lefed ofer stan; þe ne beo to-worpen.
21:7	Þa axoden hyo hine. La be-beodend. hwanne beoð þas þing. & hwilcne tacne beoð þanne þas þing ge-wurðeð.
21:8	Ða cwæð he warnieð eow þt ge ne byon be-swikene. manege cumað on minen namen & cweðed. Ic hit eom. & tid ge-nehlæceð. ne fare ge æfter heom.
21:9	ne beo ge bregede þanne ge ge-seoð ge-feoht & twirednyssa. Ðas þing ge-byriað ærest. ac nys þanne gyot ende.
21:10	Ða cwæð he to heom. Þeode arist agen þeode. & rice agen rice.
21:11	& beoð mycele eorðe steriunge. geond stowa; & cwalmes. & hunger & egsan on heofene & mychele tacne beoð.
21:12	ac to-foren eallen þisen hyo nymeð eow & ehteð syððan eow on ge-samnunge. & on hyrdnyssa. & ladeð eow to kyningen. & to demen for minen namen.
21:13	þis eow ge-byrieð on ge-witnesse.
21:14	Ne scule ge on eowren heorten for-smeagen hu ge andswerien;
21:15	ic selle eow muð & wisdom. þam ne magen ealle eower wiðer-winnan wiðstanden & wið-cweðan.
21:16	Ge beoð ge-sealde fram magen & ge-broðren. & cuðen. & freonden. & hyo eow to deaðe ge-swenced.
21:17	& ge byoð eallen on hatigenga for minen name.
21:18	& ne for-wurð a locc of eowren hæfde.
21:19	On eowren ge-þelde ge ge-healded eowre sawle.
21:20	Note: Cum uideritis ierusalem circumdarj ab exercitu. Þanne ge ge-seoð ierusalem mid here be-tremed. witeð þt heore to-worpnysse ge-neohlæcð.
21:21	þanne fleod on muntes þa þe on iudea synde. & niðer ne astigeð þa þe on hire midlene synd. & in-to here Note: hire, alt. to here. hus ne mugen þa þe þær-ute synden.
21:22	for-þan þe þis synden wræce dages. þt ealle þing seon ge-fylde. þe awritene synde.
21:23	Soðlice wa eacnigenden wife & fedenden on þam dagen þanne beoð mychel ofþricodnys. ofer eorðen. & yrre þisen folce.
21:24	& hyo falleð on sweordes egge. & beoð hæftlinges on eallen þeodan. Ierusalem beoð fram þeoden for-treden oð mægþa tide syen ge-fyllede.
21:25	And beoð tacne on sunnen & on monan & on steorren. & on eorðan þeoda for-þrecednyss. for ge-drefednysse. sæs sweges & yrða (sic)
21:26	byfigengan mannen for eige & an-bide ealle þa ymbbe-hrifte (sic) to be-cumað. þanne byð heofenes mihte astirede.
21:27	& þanne hyo ge-seoð mannes sune on lifte cumende mid michelen an-wealde & mægen-þrimme.
21:28	Þanne þas þing aginneð be-seoð & eowre heafde up ahebbeð. for-þam þe eower alysednesse ge-neahlæceð.
21:29	Ða saigde he heom sum byspell. be-healdeð þanne fic-beam. & ealle treowa.
21:30	þanne hyo wæstme bringeð ge witeð þt sumer is ge-hende.
21:31	Ænd þone ge þas þing ge-seoð witað þt godes rice is ge-hende.
21:32	Soðlice ich eow segge þt þeos cneores ne ge-wit ær þam þe ealle þas þing ge-wurðon.
21:33	Heofene & eorþe ge-witeð; soðlice mine word ne ge-witað.
21:34	Wærnieð eow þi-læs eower heorten ge-hefegede synd on ofer-fylle & on druncenesse & þises lifes carun & on eow syo se færlice daig be-cume
21:35	swa swa grin. He be-cymð on ealle þa þe sitteð ofer eorðan ansiene.
21:36	wakieð on ælcere tide & biddað þt ge wurðe syn. þt ge þas to-wearde þing for-flean & standen be-foran mannes sune.
21:37	Soðlice he wæs on daig on þam temple lærende. & on niht he eode & wunede on þam munte þe ys cweðen oliuetj.
21:38	& eall folc com on morgen to him to þam temple þæt hyo hine ge-hyrdon.


21:1	And as he behelde, he sawe the rich men, which cast their giftes into the treasurie.
21:2	And he sawe also a certaine poore widowe which cast in thither two mites:
21:3	And he sayd, Of a trueth I say vnto you, that this poore widowe hath cast in more then they all.
21:4	For they all haue of their superfluitie cast into the offerings of God: but she of her penurie hath cast in all the liuing that she had.
21:5	Nowe as some spake of the Temple, how it was garnished with goodly stones, and with consecrate things, he sayd,
21:6	Are these ye things that ye looke vpon? the dayes will come wherein a stone shall not be left vpon a stone, that shall not be throwen downe.
21:7	Then they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what signe shall there be when these things shall come to passe?
21:8	And he sayd, Take heede, that ye be not deceiued: for many will come in my Name, saying, I am Christ, and the time draweth neere: follow ye not them therefore.
21:9	And when ye heare of warres and seditions, be not afraid: for these things must first come, but the ende foloweth not by and by.
21:10	Then said hee vnto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdome against kingdome,
21:11	And great earthquakes shall be in diuers places, and hunger, and pestilence, and fearefull things, and great signes shall there be from heauen.
21:12	But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, deliuering you vp to the assemblies, and into prisons, and bring you before Kings and rulers for my Names sake.
21:13	And this shall turne to you, for a testimoniall.
21:14	Lay it vp therefore in your heartes, that ye cast not before hand, what ye shall answere.
21:15	For I will giue you a mouth and wisdome, where against all your aduersaries shall not be able to speake, nor resist.
21:16	Yea, ye shalbe betrayed also of your parents, and of your brethren, and kinsmen, and friendes, and some of you shall they put to death.
21:17	And ye shall bee hated of all men for my Names sake.
21:18	Yet there shall not one heare of your heads perish.
21:19	By your patience possesse your soules.
21:20	And when ye see Hierusalem besieged with souldiers, then vnderstand that the desolation thereof is neere.
21:21	Then let them which are in Iudea, flee to the mountaines: and let them which are in the middes thereof, depart out: and let not them that are in the countrey, enter therein.
21:22	For these be the dayes of vengeance, to fulfill all things that are written.
21:23	But woe be to them that be with childe, and to them that giue sucke in those dayes: for there shalbe great distresse in this land, and wrath ouer this people.
21:24	And they shall fall on the edge of the sword, and shalbe led captiue into all nations, and Hierusalem shalbe troden vnder foote of the Gentiles, vntill the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
21:25	Then there shalbe signes in the sunne, and in the moone, and in the starres, and vpon the earth trouble among the nations with perplexitie: the sea and the waters shall roare.
21:26	And mens hearts shall faile them for feare, and for looking after those thinges which shall come on the worlde: for the powers of heauen shall be shaken.
21:27	And then shall they see the Sonne of man come in a cloude, with power and great glory.
21:28	And when these things beginne to come to passe, then looke vp, and lift vp your heades: for your redemption draweth neere.
21:29	And he spake to them a parable, Behold, the figge tree, and all trees,
21:30	When they nowe shoote foorth, ye seeing them, knowe of your owne selues, that sommer is then neere.
21:31	So likewise yee, when yee see these thinges come to passe, knowe ye that the kingdome of God is neere.
21:32	Verely I say vnto you, This age shall not passe, till all these things be done:
21:33	Heauen and earth shall passe away, but my wordes shall not passe away.
21:34	Take heede to your selues, lest at any time your hearts be oppressed with surfeting and drunkennesse, and cares of this life, and least that day come on you at vnwares.
21:35	For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
21:36	Watche therefore, and pray continually, that ye may be counted worthy to escape all these thinges that shall come to passe, and that ye may stand before the Sonne of man.
21:37	Nowe in the day time hee taught in the Temple, and at night hee went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Oliues.
21:38	And all the people came in the morning to him, to heare him in the Temple.


21:1	As he behelde he sawe the ryche men how they cast in their offeringes into the treasury.
21:2	And he sawe also a certayne povre widdowe which cast in thyther two mites.
21:3	And he sayde: of a trueth I saye vnto you this poore wyddowe hath put in moare then they all.
21:4	For they all have of their superfluyte added vnto the offerynge of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the substaunce that she had.
21:5	As some spake of the teple how it was garnesshed with goodly stones and iewels he sayde.
21:6	The dayes will come whe of these thynges which ye se shall not be lefte stone apon stone that shall not be throwen doune.
21:7	And they axed him sayinge: Master whe shall these thinges be and what signe will therbe whe suche thinges shall come to passe.
21:8	And he sayd: take hede that ye be not deceaved. For many will come in my name saying: I am he: and the tyme draweth neare. Folowe ye not them therfore.
21:9	But when ye heare of warre and of dissencion: be not afrayd. For these thinges must fyrst come: but the ende foloweth not by and by.
21:10	Then sayd he vnto the: Nacion shall ryse agaynst nacion and kingdom agaynst kyngdome
21:11	and greate erthquakes shall be in all quarters and honger and pestilence: and fearfull thinges. And greate signes shall therbe from heven.
21:12	But before all these they shall laye their hondes on you and persecute you delyueringe you vp to the sinagoges and into preson and bringe you before kynges and rulers for my names sake.
21:13	And this shall chaunce you for a testimoniall.
21:14	Let it sticke therfore faste in youre hertes not once to stody before what ye shall answere:
21:15	for I will geve you a mouth and wisdome where agaynste all youre adversarys shall not be able to speake nor resist.
21:16	Ye and ye shalbe betrayed of youre fathers and mothers and of youre brethren and kynsmen and lovers aud some of you shall they put to deeth.
21:17	And hated shall ye be of all men for my names sake.
21:18	Yet ther shall not one heer of youre heedes perisshe.
21:19	With youre pacience possesse youre soules.
21:20	And when ye se Ierusalem beseged with an hoste then vnderstonde that the desolacio of the same is nye.
21:21	Then let them which are in Iewrye flye to the mountaynes. And let them which are in the middes of it departe oute. And let not them that are in other countreis enter ther in.
21:22	For these be the dayes of vengeance to fulfill all that are writte.
21:23	But wo be to them that be with chylde and to them that geve sucke in those dayes: for ther shalbe greate trouble in the londe and wrath over all this people.
21:24	And they shall fall on the edge of the swearde and shalbe leed captive into all nacions. And Ierusalem shalbe trooden vnder fote of the gentyls vntyll the tyme of the gentyls be fulfilled.
21:25	And ther shalbe signes in the sunne ad in the mone and in the starres: and in ye erth the people shalbe in soche perplexite yt they shall not tell which waye to turne them selves. The see and the waters shall roore
21:26	and menes hertes shall fayle them for feare and for lokinge after thoose thinges which shall come on the erth. For the powers of heve shall move.
21:27	And then shall they se the sonne of ma come in a clowde with power and greate glory.
21:28	When these thinges begyn to come to passe: then loke vp and lifte vp youre heddes for youre redemcion draweth neye.
21:29	And he shewed the a similitude: beholde ye fygge tree and all other trees
21:30	when they shute forth their buddes ye se and knowe of youre awne selves that sommer is then nye at hod.
21:31	So lyke wyse ye (when ye se these thinges come to passe) vnderstonde that the kyngdome of God is neye.
21:32	Verely I saye vnto you: this generacion shall not passe tyll all be fulfilled.
21:33	Heaven and erth shall passe: but my wordes shall not passe.
21:34	Take hede to youre selves lest youre hertes be overcome with surfettinge and dronkennes and cares of this worlde: and that that daye come on you vnwares.
21:35	For as a snare shall it come on all them that sit on the face of the erthe.
21:36	Watche therfore continually and praye that ye maye obtayne grace to flye all this that shall come and that ye maye stonde before the sonne of man.
21:37	In the daye tyme he taught in the temple and at night he went out and had abydinge in the mount olivete.
21:38	And all the people came in the morninge to him in the temple for to heare him.
