14:1And he sayde vnto his disciples: lett not your herte be troubled. Ye beleue in God, beleue also in me.
14:2In my fathers house are many mansions: If it were not so, I wolde haue tolde you. I go to prepare a place for you.
14:3And yf I go to prepare a place for you, I will come agayne, and receaue you euen vnto my selfe: that wher I am, ther maye ye be also.
14:4And whyther I go, ye knowe, and the waye ye knowe.
14:5Thomas sayth vnto him: Lord, we knowe not whither thou goest. And how is it possible for vs to knowe the waye?
14:6Iesus sayeth vnto hym: I am the waye and the treuth, and the lyfe. No man cometh vnto the father, but by me.
14:7If ye had knowen me, ye had knowen my father also. And now ye knowe him, and haue sene hym.
14:8Philip sayth vnto hym: Lorde, shewe vs the father, & it suffiseth vs.
14:9Iesus sayth vnto hym: haue I bene so longe tyme with you, & yet hast thou not knowen me? Philip, he that hath sene me, hath sene my father. And howe sayest thou then: shewe vs the father?
14:10Beleuest thou not, that I am in the father, & the father in me? The wordes that I speake vnto you, I speake not of my self: but the father that dwelleth in me is he that doth the workes.
14:11Beleue me that I am in the father, & the father in me. Or els beleue me for the worckes sake.
14:12Uerely verely, I saye vnto you: he that beleueth on me, the worckes that I do, the same shal he do also, & greater worckes then these shall he do, because I go vnto my father.
14:13And whatsoeuer ye aske in my name, that will I do, that the father maye be glorifyed by the sonne.
14:14If ye shall aske any thynge in my name. I will do it.
14:15If ye loue me, kepe my commaundementes,
14:16& I will praye the father, and he shall geue you another comforter, that he maye bide wt you for euer:
14:17euen the sprete of treuth, whom the world cannot receaue, because the worlde seeth hym not, nether knoweth him. But ye knowe him. For he dwelleth wt you, & shalbe in you.
14:18I wyll not leaue you comforteles: but will come to you:
14:19Yet a lytell while and the world seeth me nomore: but ye se me. For I lyue, & ye shall lyue.
14:20That daye shall ye knowe that I am in my father, and you in me, and I in you.
14:21He that hath my commaundementes, and kepeth them: the same is he that loueth me. And he that loueth me, shalbe loued of my father: and I wyll loue hym, and wyll shewe myne awne selfe to him.
14:22Iudas sayth vnto hym: (not Iudas Iscarioth) Lorde, what is done that thou wylt shewe thy selfe vnto vs, and not vnto the world?
14:23Iesus answered & sayd: vnto them: yf a man loue me, he will kepe my sayinges, and my father wyll loue hym, and we wyll come vnto hym, and dwell wt hym.
14:24He that loueth me not, kepeth not my sayinges. And the worde which ye heare, is not myne, but the fathers which sent me.
14:25These thinges haue I spoken ynto you, being yet present with you.
14:26But the comforter which is the holy ghost whom my father wil sende in my name, he shal teach you all thinges, & bryng all thinges to your remembraunce whatsoeuer I haue sayd vnto you.
14:27Peace I leaue with you, my peace I geue vnto you. Not as the world geueth, geue I vnto you. Let not youre hertes be greued, nether feare.
14:28Ye haue hearde howe I sayde vnto you: I go, and come agayne vnto you. If ye loued me, ye wolde verely reioyse, because I sayd: I go vnto the father, for the father is greater then I.
14:29And nowe haue I shewed you before it come, that when it is come to passe, ye myght beleue.
14:30Here after wyll I not talke many wordes vnto you. For the prince of this worlde commeth, and hath naught in me.
14:31But that the worlde maye knowe that I loue the father. And as the father gaue me commaundment, euen so do I. Ryse, let vs go hence.

14:1Be not youre herte afraied, ne drede it; ye bileuen in God, and bileue ye in me.
14:2In the hous of my fadir ben many dwellyngis; if ony thing lesse, Y hadde seid to you, for Y go to make redi to you a place.
14:3And if Y go, and make redi to you a place, eftsoones Y come, and Y schal take you to my silf, that where Y am, ye be.
14:4And whidur Y go, ye witen, and ye witen the weie.
14:5Thomas seith to hym, Lord, we witen not whidur thou goist, and hou moun we wite the weie?
14:6Jhesus seith to hym, Y am weie, treuthe, and lijf; no man cometh to the fadir, but bi me.
14:7If ye hadden knowe me, sotheli ye hadden knowe also my fadir; and aftirward ye schulen knowe hym, and ye han seyn hym.
14:8Filip seith to hym, Lord, schewe to vs the fadir, and it suffisith to vs.
14:9Jhesus seith to hym, So long tyme Y am with you, and `han ye not knowun me? Filip, he that seeth me, seeth also the fadir. Hou seist thou, schewe to vs the fadir?
14:10Bileuest thou not, that Y am in the fadir, and the fadir is in me? The wordis that Y speke to you, Y speke not of my silf; but the fadir hym silf dwellynge in me, doith the werkis.
14:11Bileue ye not, that Y am in the fadir, and the fadir is in me?
14:12Ellis bileue ye for thilke werkis. Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, if a man bileueth in me, also he schal do the werkis that Y do; and he schal do grettere werkis than these, for Y go to the fadir.
14:13And what euere thing ye axen the fadir in my name, Y schal do this thing, that the fadir be glorified in the sone.
14:14If ye axen ony thing in my name, Y schal do it.
14:15If ye louen me, kepe ye my comaundementis.
14:16And Y schal preye the fadir, and he schal yyue to you another coumfortour,
14:17the spirit of treuthe, to dwelle with you with outen ende; which spirit the world may not take, for it seeth hym not, nether knowith hym. But ye schulen knowe hym, for he schal dwelle with you, and he schal be in you.
14:18Y schal not leeue you fadirles, Y schal come to you.

14:21He that hath my comaundementis, and kepith hem, he it is that loueth me; and he that loueth me, schal be loued of my fadir, and Y schal loue hym, and Y schal schewe to hym my silf.
14:22Judas seith to hym, not he of Scarioth, Lord, what is don, that thou schalt schewe thi silf to vs, and not to the world?
14:23Jhesus answerde, and seide `to hym, If ony man loueth me, he schal kepe my word; and my fadir schal loue hym, and we schulen come to hym, and we schulen dwelle with hym.
14:24He that loueth me not, kepith not my wordis; and the word which ye han herd, is not myn, but the fadris, that sente me.
14:25These thingis Y haue spokun to you, dwellynge among you; but thilke Hooli Goost,
14:26the coumfortour, whom the fadir schal sende in my name, he schal teche you alle thingis, `and schal schewe to you alle thingis, what euere thingis Y schal seie to you.
14:27Pees Y leeue to you, my pees Y yyue to you; not as the world yyueth, Y yiue to you; be not youre herte affrayed, ne drede it.
14:28Ye han herd, that Y seide to you, Y go, and come to you. If ye loueden me, forsothe ye schulden haue ioye, for Y go to the fadir, for the fadir is grettere than Y.
14:29And now Y haue seid to you, bifor that it be don, that whanne it is don, ye bileuen.

14:1And he sayde vnto his disciples: Let not youre hert be afrayed. Yf ye beleue on God, the beleue also on me.
14:2In my fathers house are many dwellinges. Yf it were not so, I wolde haue tolde you: I go to prepare the place for you.

14:4And whither I go, ye knowe, and the waye knowe ye also.
14:5Thomas sayde vnto him: LORDE, we knowe not whither thou goest, & how can we knowe the waye?
14:6Iesus sayde vnto him: I am the waye, and the trueth, and the life. Noman cometh to the father but by me.
14:7Yf ye knewe me, ye knewe my father also. And fro hece forth ye knowe hi, & haue sene him.
14:8Philippe sayde vnto him: LORDE, shewe vs the father, and it sufficeth vs.

14:10Beleuest thou not that I am in the father, and that ye father is in me? The wordes that I speake vnto you, those speake not I of my self: but the father that dwelleth in me, he doth the workes.
14:11Beleue me, that I am in the father, and that ye father is in me: Or els, beleue me at the leest for the workes sake.
14:12Verely verely I saye vnto you: He that beleueth on me, shal do the workes that I do, and shal do greater then these: for I go to the father.
14:13And what soeuer ye axe ye father in my name, that wyl I do, that the father maye be praysed in the sonne.
14:14Yf ye axe eny thinge in my name, I wyl do it.
14:15Yf ye loue me, kepe my commaundementes.
14:16And I wyl praye the father, and he shal geue you another comforter, that he maye byde wt you for euer:
14:17euen ye sprete of trueth, whom ye worlde can not receaue, for it seyth him not, nether doth it knowe him: but ye knowe him, for he abydeth wt you, & shalbe in you
14:18I wil not leaue you cofortles, I come vnto you.

14:24But he that loueth me not, kepeth not my sayenges. And the worde that ye heare, is not myne, but the fathers which hath sent me.

14:26But that comforter euen ye holy goost, who my father shal sende in my name, he shal teache you all thinges, & bringe all to youre remembraunce, what soeuer I haue tolde you.
14:27Peace I leaue vnto you, my peace I geue you: I geue not vnto you, as the worlde geueth. Let not yor hert be troubled, nether let it be afrayed.
14:28Ye haue herde, that I sayde vnto you: I go, & come agayne vnto you. Yf ye loued me, ye wolde reioyse, because I saide, I go to the father: for ye father is greater the I.
