| 12:1 | Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: |
| 12:2 | You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these mute idols, however you were led. |
| 12:3 | Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and that no one can say that Jesus is the Lord except by the Holy Spirit. |
| 12:4 | Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. |
| 12:5 | And there are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. |
| 12:6 | And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. |
| 12:7 | But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for everyone's benefit. |
| 12:8 | Because, to one is given the word of wisdom by the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit, |
| 12:9 | to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the same Spirit, |
| 12:10 | to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. |
| 12:11 | But these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, distributing to each one individually as He wills. |
| 12:12 | Because, as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. |
| 12:13 | Because, by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether we are Jews or Greeks, whether we are slaves or free, and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. |
| 12:14 | Because the body is not one member but many. |
| 12:15 | If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? |
| 12:16 | And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? |
| 12:17 | If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? |
| 12:18 | But now God has arranged the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. |
| 12:19 | And if they were all one member, where would the body be? |
| 12:20 | But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. |
| 12:21 | And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you." |
| 12:22 | No, on the contrary, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. |
| 12:23 | And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor; and our unpresentable parts have more abundant modesty, |
| 12:24 | but our presentable parts have no lack. But God assembled together the body, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked, |
| 12:25 | that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. |
| 12:26 | And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. |
| 12:27 | Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. |
| 12:28 | And God has arranged these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. |
| 12:29 | Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? |
| 12:30 | Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? |
| 12:31 | But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way. |
| 12:1 | Now concerning spirituall giftes, brethren, I would not haue you ignorant. |
| 12:2 | Ye know that ye were Gentiles, and were caried away vnto the dumme Idoles, as ye were led. |
| 12:3 | Wherefore, I declare vnto you, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Iesus execrable: also no man can say that Iesus is the Lord, but by the holy Ghost. |
| 12:4 | Now there are diuersities of gifts, but the same Spirit. |
| 12:5 | And there are diuersities of administrations, but the same Lord, |
| 12:6 | And there are diuersities of operations, but God is the same which worketh all in all. |
| 12:7 | But the manifestation of the Spirit is giuen to euery man, to profite withall. |
| 12:8 | For to one is giuen by the Spirit the word of wisdome: and to an other the word of knowledge, by the same Spirit: |
| 12:9 | And to another is giuen faith by the same Spirit: and to another the giftes of healing, by the same Spirit: |
| 12:10 | And to another the operations of great workes: and to another, prophecie: and to another, the discerning of spirits: and to another, diuersities of tongues: and to another, the interpretation of tongues. |
| 12:11 | And all these thinges worketh one and the selfe same Spirit, distributing to euery man seuerally as he will. |
| 12:12 | For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, which is one, though they be many, yet are but one body: euen so is Christ. |
| 12:13 | For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we bee Iewes, or Grecians, whether we be bonde, or free, and haue bene all made to drinke into one Spirit. |
| 12:14 | For the body also is not one member, but many. |
| 12:15 | If the foote would say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body? |
| 12:16 | And if the eare would say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body? |
| 12:17 | If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smellling? |
| 12:18 | But nowe hath God disposed the members euery one of them in the bodie at his owne pleasure. |
| 12:19 | For if they were all one member, where were the body? |
| 12:20 | But now are there many members, yet but one body. |
| 12:21 | And the eye cannot say vnto the hand, I haue no neede of thee: nor the head againe to the feete, I haue no neede of you. |
| 12:22 | Yea, much rather those members of the body, which seeme to be more feeble, are necessarie. |
| 12:23 | And vpon those members of the body, which wee thinke most vnhonest, put wee more honestie on: and our vncomely parts haue more comelinesse on. |
| 12:24 | For our comely partes neede it not: but God hath tempered the body together, and hath giuen the more honour to that part which lacked, |
| 12:25 | Lest there should be any diuision in the body: but that the members shoulde haue the same care one for another. |
| 12:26 | Therefore if one member suffer, all suffer with it: if one member be had in honour, all the members reioyce with it. |
| 12:27 | Now ye are the body of Christ, and members for your part. |
| 12:28 | And God hath ordained some in the Church: as first Apostles, secondly Prophetes, thirdly teachers, then them that doe miracles: after that, the giftes of healing, helpers, gouernours, diuersitie of tongues. |
| 12:29 | Are all Apostles? are all Prophetes? are all teachers? |
| 12:30 | Are all doers of miracles? haue all the gifts of healing? doe all speake with tongues? doe all interprete? |
| 12:31 | But desire you the best giftes, and I will yet shewe you a more excellent way. |
| 12:1 | In spirituall thinges brethren I wolde not have you ignoraunt. |
| 12:2 | Ye knowe that ye were gentyls and went youre wayes vnto domme ydoles even as ye were ledde. |
| 12:3 | Wherfore I declare vnto you that no man speakynge in the sprete of god defieth Iesus. Also no man can saye that Iesus is the lorde: but by the holy goost. |
| 12:4 | Ther are diversities of gyftes verely yet but one sprete. |
| 12:5 | And ther are differences of administracions and yet but one lorde. |
| 12:6 | And ther are divers maners of operacions and yet but one God which worketh all thinges that are wrought in all creatures. |
| 12:7 | The gyftes of ye sprete are geven to every man to proffit ye congregacion. |
| 12:8 | To one is geven thorow the spirite the vtteraunce of wisdome? To another is geven the vtteraunce of knowledge by ye same sprete. |
| 12:9 | To another is geuen fayth by ye same sprete. To another ye gyftes of healynge by the same sprete. |
| 12:10 | To another power to do myracles. To another prophesie? To another iudgement of spretes. To another divers tonges. To another the interpretacion of toges. |
| 12:11 | And these all worketh eve ye silfe same sprete devydynge to every man severall gyftes even as he will. |
| 12:12 | For as the body is one and hath many mebres and all the membres of one body though they be many yet are but one body: even so is Christ. |
| 12:13 | For in one sprete are we all baptysed to make one body whether we be Iewes or getyls whether we be bonde or fre: and have all dronke of one sprete. |
| 12:14 | For the body is not one member but many. |
| 12:15 | Yf the fote saye: I am not the honde therfore I am not of the body: is he therfore not of ye body: |
| 12:16 | And if ye eare saye I am not the eye: therfore I am not of the body: is he therfore not of the body? |
| 12:17 | If all the body were an eye where were then the eare? If all were hearynge: where were the smellynge? |
| 12:18 | But now hath god disposed the membres every one of them in the body at his awne pleasure. |
| 12:19 | If they were all one member: where were the body? |
| 12:20 | Now are ther many membres yet but one body. |
| 12:21 | And the eye can not saye vnto the honde I have no nede of the: nor ye heed also to the fete. I have no nede of you. |
| 12:22 | Ye rather a greate deale those mebres of the body which seme to be most feble are most necessary. |
| 12:23 | And apo those mebres of yt body which we thinke lest honest put we most honestie on. And oure vngodly parties have most beauty on. |
| 12:24 | For oure honest members nede it not. But God hath so disposed the body ad hath geven most honoure to that parte which laked |
| 12:25 | lest there shuld be eny stryfe in the body: but that the members shuld indifferetly care one for another. |
| 12:26 | And yf one member suffer all suffer with him: yf one member be had in honoure all members be glad also. |
| 12:27 | Ye are the body of Christ and members one of another. |
| 12:28 | And God hath also ordeyned in the congregacion fyrst the Apostels secodarely prophetes thyrdly teachers then the that do miracles: after that the gyftes of healynge helpers governers diversite of tonges. |
| 12:29 | Are all Apostles? Are all Prophetes? Are all teachers? Are all doars of miracles? |
| 12:30 | Have all the gyftes of healinge? Do all speake wt tonges? Do all interprete? |
| 12:31 | Covet after ye best giftes. Amd yet shewe I vnto you a moare excellent waye. |
