Galatians - Chapter: 4

>
4:1And I say that the heyre as longe as he is a chylde, differeth not from a seruaunt thoughe he be Lorde of all,
4:2but is vnder tutours and gouernours, vntyll the tyme appoynted of the father.
4:3Euen so we as longe as we were chyldren, were in bondage vnder the ordinaunces of the world.
4:4But when the tyme was full come, God sente hys sonne made of a woman, and made bonde vnto the lawe,
4:5to redeme them which were vnder the lawe: that we thorowe eleccyon myght receyue the enheritaunce that belongeth vnto the naturall sonnes.
4:6Because ye are sonnes, God hath sent the spyryte of hys sonne into our hertes, whiche cryeth Abba father.
4:7Wherfore now thou art not a seruaunt but a sonne. Yf thou be the sonne, thou arte also the heyre of God thorowe Christe.
4:8Notwithstandynge when ye knewe not God ye dyd seruyce vnto them, which by nature were no Goddes.
4:9But nowe seynge, ye knowe God (yea rather are knowen of God) how is it that ye turne agayne to the weake & beggerly ceremonies, wherevnto agayne ye desyre a freshe to be in bondage?
4:10Ye obserue dayes, and monethes, and tymes, and yeares.
4:11I am in feare of you lest I haue bestowed on you laboure in vayne.
4:12Brethren I beseche you, be ye as I am, for I am as ye are. Ye haue not hurte me at all.
4:13Ye knowe howe thorowe infyrmytye of the fleshe, I preached the Gospell vnto you at the fyrste.
4:14And my temptacion whiche I suffered by reason of my flesh, ye dispysed not, neyther abhorred, but receyued me as an Angell of God: yea as Christe Iesu.
4:15How happye were ye then? for I beare you recorde that yf it had bene possyble, ye woulde haue plucked oute youre owne eyes, and haue geuen them to me.
4:16Am I therfore become your enemye, because I tell you the truth?
4:17They are gelous ouer you amysse. Yea, they intende to exclude you, that ye should be feruent to them ward.
4:18It is good alwayes to be feruent, so it be in a good thinge, and not onelye when I am presente with you.
4:19My lytle chyldren (of whome I trauayle in byrth agayne vntyll Christe be fashyoned in you)
4:20I woulde I were with you now, and coulde chaunge my voyce, for I stande in a doubte of you.
4:21Tell me ye that desyre to be vnder the law haue ye not heard of the law?
4:22For it is writen, that Abraham had two sonnes, the one by a bonde mayd the other by a fre woman.
4:23Yea and he whiche was of the bond woman, was borne after the fleshe: but he whiche was of the fre woman, was borne by promes.
4:24Whiche thynges betoken misterye. For these women are two testamentes the one from the mounte Syna, whiche gendreth to bondage whiche is Agar.
4:25For mounte Syna is called Agar in Arabia, and bordreth vpon the citie, which is nowe Hierusalem, and is in bondage with her chyldren.
4:26But Hierusalem, whiche is aboue, is fre, whiche is the mother of vs all.
4:27For it is written: Reioyce thou baren, that bearest no chyldren: breake forth and crye, thou that trauaylest not. For the desolate hath many more children then she whiche hath an husband.
4:28Brethren we are after the maner of Isaac children of promes.
4:29But as then he that was borne carnally, persecuted him that was borne spirytuallye. Euen so is it nowe.
4:30Neuerthelesse what sayth the scripture: put awaye the bond woman and her sonne. For the sonne of the bond woman shall not be heyre with the sonne of the fre woman.
4:31So then brethren we are not chyldren of the bonde woman, but of the fre woman.

4:1And I saye, that the heyre (as longe as he is a chylde) differth not from a seruaunt, though he be Lord of all,
4:2but is vnder tuters and gouerners, vntyll the tyme that the father hath appoynted.
4:3Euen so we also, when we were chyldren, were in bondage vnder the ordynaunces of the worlde.
4:4But when the tyme was full come, God sent hys sonne, made of a woman, and made bonde vnto the lawe,
4:5to redeme them which were bonde vnto the lawe: that we (thorowe eleccion) might receaue the inheritaunce that belongeth vnto the naturall sonnes.
4:6Because ye are sonnes, God hathe sent the sprete of hys sonne into oure hertes, cryinge: Abba father.
4:7Wherfore nowe, thou art not a seruaunt: but a sonne. If thou be a sonne, thou arte also an heyre of God, thorowe Christ.
4:8Notwithstandynge, when ye knewe not God, ye dyd seruice vnto them which by nature are no Goddes.
4:9But nowe after that ye haue knowen God (yee rather are knowen of God) how is it that ye tourne agayn vnto the weake and beggarly ordinaunces, wherunto agayne ye desyre afresshe to be in bondage?
4:10Ye obserue dayes, and monethes, and tymes, and yeares.
4:11I am in feare of you, lest I haue bestowed on you laboure in vayne.
4:12Brethren, I besech you, be ye as I am: for I am as ye are. Ye haue not hurt me at all.
4:13Ye knowe how thorowe infirmitie of the flesshe, I preached the Gospell vnto you at the fyrst.
4:14And my temptacyon which was in the flesshe, ye despysed not, nether abhorred: but receaued me as an angell of God: euen as Christ Iesus.
4:15What is then youre felicyte? for I beare you record, that yf it had bene possible ye wolde haue plucked out your awne eyes, and haue geuen them to me.
4:16Am I therfore become your enemye, because I tell you the trueth?
4:17They are gelous ouer you amysse. Yee, they intende to exclude you, that ye shuld be feruent to them ward.
4:18It is good allwayes to be feruent in a good thinge, and not onely whan I am present with you.
4:19My lytell chyldren, of whom I trauayle in byrth agayne, vntill Christ be fasshyoned in you,
4:20I wolde I ware with you now, and coulde chaunge my voyce: for I stande in a doubte of you.
4:21Tell me: ye that desyre to be vnder the lawe, do ye not heare of the lawe?
4:22For it is wrytten, that Abraham had two sonnes the one by a bonde mayde, the other by a fre woman.
4:23Yee, and he which was borne of the bonde woman, was borne after the flesshe: but he which was of the fre man, was borne by promesse.
4:24Which thynges are spoken by an allegorye. For these are two testamentes the one from the mounte Syna, which gendreth vnto bondage, which is Agar.
4:25For mounte Syna is Agar in Arabia, and bordreth vpon the cytie, which is nowe called Ierusalem, and is in bondage with her chyldren.
4:26But Ierusalem, which is aboue, is fre: which is the mother of vs al.
4:27For it is written. Reioyce thou baren, that bearest no chyldren: breake forth and crye, thou the trauaylest not. For the desolat hath many moo chyldren, then she which hathe an husbande.
4:28Brethren, we are after Isaac, the children of promes.
4:29But as then he that was borne after the flesshe, persecuted hym that was borne after the sprete, euen so is it nowe.
4:30Neuerthelesse, what sayth the scripture: put awaye the bonde woman and her sonne. For the sonne of the bonde woman shall not be heyre with the sonne of the fre woman.
4:31So then brethren, we are not chyldren of the bonde woman: but of the fre.

4:1Then I say, that the heire as long as hee is a childe, differeth nothing from a seruant, though he be Lord of all,
4:2But is vnder tutours and gouernours, vntil the time appointed of the Father.
4:3Euen so, we when wee were children, were in bondage vnder the rudiments of the world.
4:4But when the fulnesse of time was come, God sent forth his Sonne made of a woman, and made vnder the Lawe,
4:5That hee might redeeme them which were vnder the Law, that we might receiue the adoption of the sonnes.
4:6And because ye are sonnes, God hath sent foorth the Spirit of his Sonne into your heartes, which crieth, Abba, Father.
4:7Wherefore, thou art no more a seruant, but a sonne: now if thou be a sone, thou art also the heire of God through Christ.
4:8But euen then, when ye knewe not God, yee did seruice vnto them, which by nature are not gods:
4:9But now seeing ye knowe God, yea, rather are knowen of God, howe turne ye againe vnto impotent and beggerly rudiments, whereunto as from the beginning ye wil be in bondage againe?
4:10Ye obserue dayes, and moneths, and times and yeeres.
4:11I am in feare of you, lest I haue bestowed on you labour in vaine.
4:12Be ye as I (for I am euen as you) brethren, I beseech you: ye haue not hurt me at all.
4:13And ye know, how through infirmitie of the flesh, I preached ye Gospel vnto you at the first.
4:14And the trial of me which was in my flesh, ye despised not, neither abhorred: but ye receiued me as an Angel of God, yea, as Christ Iesus.
4:15What was then your felicitie? for I beare you recorde, that if it had bene possible, ye would haue plucked out your owne eyes, and haue giuen them vnto me.
4:16Am I therefore become your enemie, because I tell you the trueth?
4:17They are ielous ouer you amisse: yea, they woulde exclude you, that ye shoulde altogether loue them.
4:18But it is a good thing to loue earnestly alwayes in a good thing, and not onely when I am present with you,
4:19My litle children, of whome I trauaile in birth againe, vntill Christ be formed in you.
4:20And I would I were with you nowe, that I might change my voyce: for I am in doubt of you.
4:21Tell me, ye that will be vnder the Law, doe ye not heare the Lawe?
4:22For it is written, that Abraham had two sonnes, one by a seruant, and one by a free woman.
4:23But he which was of the seruant, was borne after the flesh: and he which was of the free woman, was borne by promise.
4:24By the which things another thing is meant: for these mothers are the two testaments, the one which is Agar of mount Sina, which gendreth vnto bondage.
4:25(For Agar or Sina is a mountaine in Arabia, and it answereth to Hierusalem which nowe is) and she is in bondage with her children.
4:26But Hierusalem, which is aboue, is free: which is the mother of vs all.
4:27For it is written, Reioyce thou barren that bearest no children: breake forth, and cry, thou that trauailest not: for the desolate hath many moe children, then she which hath an husband.
4:28Therefore, brethren, wee are after the maner of Isaac, children of the promise.
4:29But as then hee that was borne after the flesh, persecuted him that was borne after the Spirit, euen so it is nowe.
4:30But what sayth the Scripture? Put out the seruant and her sonne: for the sonne of the seruant shall not be heire with the sonne of the free woman.
4:31Then brethren, we are not children of the seruant, but of the free woman.
