| 5:1 | You therefore be followers of God as dear children. |
| 5:2 | And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling aroma. |
| 5:3 | But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; |
| 5:4 | neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. |
| 5:5 | Because, you know this; that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. |
| 5:6 | Let no one deceive you with vain words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience. |
| 5:7 | Therefore do not be partakers with them. |
| 5:8 | Because, you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light |
| 5:9 | (because, the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), |
| 5:10 | finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. |
| 5:11 | And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. |
| 5:12 | Because, it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. |
| 5:13 | But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, because whatever makes manifest is light. |
| 5:14 | Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light." |
| 5:15 | See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, |
| 5:16 | redeeming the time, because the days are evil. |
| 5:17 | Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. |
| 5:18 | And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, |
| 5:19 | speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, |
| 5:20 | giving thanks always for all things to God, even the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, |
| 5:21 | submitting yourselves to one another in the reverence of God. |
| 5:22 | Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. |
| 5:23 | Because, the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. |
| 5:24 | Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. |
| 5:25 | Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, |
| 5:26 | that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, |
| 5:27 | that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. |
| 5:28 | So husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. |
| 5:29 | Because, no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. |
| 5:30 | Because, we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. |
| 5:31 | "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." |
| 5:32 | This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. |
| 5:33 | Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife just as himself, and let the wife see that she reverence her husband. |
| 5:1 | Bee yee therefore followers of God, as deare children, |
| 5:2 | And walke in loue, euen as Christ hath loued vs, and hath giuen himselfe for vs, to be an offering and a sacrifice of a sweete smellling sauour to God. |
| 5:3 | But fornication, and all vncleannesse, or couetousnesse, let it not be once named among you, as it becommeth Saintes, |
| 5:4 | Neither filthinesse, neither foolish talking, neither iesting, which are things not comely, but rather giuing of thankes. |
| 5:5 | For this ye know, that no whoremonger, neither vncleane person, nor couetous person, which is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdome of Christ, and of God. |
| 5:6 | Let no man deceiue you with vaine wordes: for, for such thinges commeth the wrath of God vpon the children of disobedience. |
| 5:7 | Be not therefore companions with them. |
| 5:8 | For ye were once darkenesse, but are nowe light in the Lord: walke as children of light, |
| 5:9 | (For the fruit of the Spirit is in al goodnes, and righteousnes, and trueth) |
| 5:10 | Approuing that which is pleasing to the Lord. |
| 5:11 | And haue no fellowship with ye vnfruitfull works of darknes, but euen reproue them rather. |
| 5:12 | For it is shame euen to speake of the things which are done of them in secret. |
| 5:13 | But all thinges when they are reproued of the light, are manifest: for it is light that maketh all things manifest. |
| 5:14 | Wherefore hee sayeth, Awake thou that sleepest, and stande vp from the deade, and Christ shall giue thee light. |
| 5:15 | Take heede therefore that yee walke circumspectly, not as fooles, but as wise, |
| 5:16 | Redeeming ye season: for ye daies are euill. |
| 5:17 | Wherefore, be ye not vnwise, but vnderstand what the will of the Lord is. |
| 5:18 | And be not drunke with wine, wherein is excesse: but be fulfilled with the Spirit, |
| 5:19 | Speaking vnto your selues in psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songs, singing, and making melodie to the Lord in your hearts, |
| 5:20 | Giuing thankes alwaies for all thinges vnto God euen the Father, in the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ, |
| 5:21 | Submitting your selues one to another in the feare of God. |
| 5:22 | Wiues, submit your selues vnto your husbands, as vnto the Lord. |
| 5:23 | For the husband is the wiues head, euen as Christ is the head of the Church, and the same is the sauiour of his body. |
| 5:24 | Therfore as the Church is in subiection to Christ, euen so let the wiues be to their husbands in euery thing. |
| 5:25 | Husbands, loue your wiues, euen as Christ loued the Church, and gaue himselfe for it, |
| 5:26 | That hee might sanctifie it, and clense it by the washing of water through the worde, |
| 5:27 | That hee might make it vnto him selfe a glorious Church, not hauing spot or wrinkle, or any such thing: but that it shoulde bee holy and without blame. |
| 5:28 | So ought men to loue their wiues, as their owne bodies: he that loueth his wife, loueth him selfe. |
| 5:29 | For no man euer yet hated his owne flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, euen as the Lord doeth the Church. |
| 5:30 | For we are members of his bodie, of his flesh, and of his bones. |
| 5:31 | For this cause shall a man leaue father and mother, and shall cleaue to his wife, and they twaine shalbe one flesh. |
| 5:32 | This is a great secrete, but I speake concerning Christ, and concerning the Church. |
| 5:33 | Therefore euery one of you, doe ye so: let euery one loue his wife, euen as himselfe, and let the wife see that shee feare her husband. |
| 5:1 | Be ye folowers of god as dere children |
| 5:2 | and walke in love even as Christ loved vs and gave him silfe for vs an offerynge and a sacrifyce of a swete saver to god. |
| 5:3 | So that fornicacion and all vnclennes or coveteousnes be not once named amonge you as it be commeth saynctes: |
| 5:4 | nether filthynes nether folishe talkyng nether gestinge which are not comly: but rather gevynge of thankes |
| 5:5 | For this ye knowe yt no whormonger other vnclene person or coveteous person which is the worshipper of ymages hath eny inheritaunce in the kyngdome of Christ and of God. |
| 5:6 | Let no ma deceave you with vayne wordes. For thorow soche thinges cometh the wrath of God vpon the chyldre of vnbelefe. |
| 5:7 | Be not therfore companions with them. |
| 5:8 | Ye were once dercknes but are now light in the Lorde. Walke as chyldren of light. |
| 5:9 | For the frute of the sprete is in all goodnes rightewesnes and trueth. |
| 5:10 | Accept that which is pleasinge to the Lorde: |
| 5:11 | and have no fellishippe with the vnfrutfull workes of dercknes: but rather rebuke them. |
| 5:12 | For it is shame even to name those thinges which are done of them in secrete: |
| 5:13 | but all thinges when they are rebuked of the light are manifest. For whatsoever is manifest that same is light. |
| 5:14 | Wherfore he sayth: awake thou that slepest and stond vp from deeth and Christ shall geve the light. |
| 5:15 | Take hede therfore that ye walke circuspectly: not as foles: but as wyse |
| 5:16 | redemynge the tyme: for ye dayes are evyll. |
| 5:17 | Wherfore be ye not vnwyse but vnderstonde what the will of the Lorde is |
| 5:18 | and be not dronke with wyne wherin is excesse: but be fulfilled with the sprete |
| 5:19 | speakynge vnto youre selves in psalmes and ymnes and spretuall songes synginge and makinge melodie to ye Lorde in youre hertes |
| 5:20 | gevinge thankes all wayes for all thinges vnto God the father in the name of oure Lorde Iesu Christ: |
| 5:21 | submittinge youre selves one to another in the feare of God. |
| 5:22 | Wemen submit youre selves vnto youre awne husbandes as vnto the Lorde. |
| 5:23 | For the husbande is the wyves heed even as Christ is the heed of the congregacion and the same is the saveoure of the body. |
| 5:24 | Therfore as the cogregacion is in subieccion to Christ lykwyse let the wyves be in subieccion to their husbandes in all thinges. |
| 5:25 | Husbandes love youre wyves even as Christ loved the congregacion and gave him silfe for it |
| 5:26 | to sanctifie it and clensed it in the fountayne of water thorow the worde |
| 5:27 | to make it vnto him selfe a glorious congregacion with oute spot or wrynckle or eny soche thinge: but that it shuld be holy and with out blame. |
| 5:28 | So ought men to love their wyves as their awne bodyes. He that loveth his wyfe loveth him sylfe. |
| 5:29 | For no ma ever yet hated his awne flesshe: but norissheth and cherisseth it even as the lorde doth the congregacion. |
| 5:30 | For we are members of his body of his flesshe and of his bones. |
| 5:31 | For this cause shall a man leave father and mother and shall cotinue with his wyfe and two shalbe made one flesshe. |
| 5:32 | This is a great secrete but I speake bitwene Christ and the cogregacion. |
| 5:33 | Neverthelesse do ye so that every one of you love his wyfe truely even as him silfe. And let ye wyfe se that she feare her husbade. |
