Ephesians - Chapter: 6

>
6:1Chyldren obeye youre fathers and mothers in the Lorde: for so is it ryght.
6:2Honoure thy father and mother, that is the fyrst commaundemente that hath anye promes,
6:3that thou mayeste be in good estate, and liue longe on the earth.
6:4And ye fathers, moue not youre children to wrath, but bringe them vp with the norter and information of the Lorde.
6:5Seruauntes be obedient vnto youre carnall maisters, wyth feare and tremblinge, in singlenes of youre hertes, as vnto Christe,
6:6not wyth seruice in the eye sight, as men pleasers, but as the seruauntes of Christe, doynge the wyll of God frome the herte
6:7wyth good wyll seruynge the Lorde, & not men.
6:8And remembre that, whatsoeuer good thinge any man doeth, that shall he receiue agayne of the Lorde, whether he be bounde or fre.
6:9And ye maisters, do euen the same thinges vnto them puttinge awaye threateninges: and remembre that euen your maister also is in heauen, neither is ther anye respect of person wyth hym.
6:10Finally my brethren, be stronge in the Lord and in the power of his myghte.
6:11Put on the armoure of God, that ye maye stande stedfaste agaynste the crafty assautes of the deuyll.
6:12For we wrestle not againste fleshe and bloude: but against rule, agaynst power, and againste worldlye rulers of the darckenes of thys worlde, againste spyrytuall wickednes, for heauenly thynges.
6:13For thys cause take vnto you the armoure of God, that ye maye be able to resiste in the euyl daye, and stande perfect in al thinges.
6:14Stande therfore, and your loynes gyrde about wyth veritie, hauinge on the breste plate of rightuousnes,
6:15and shoed with shoes prepared by the Gospel of peace.
6:16Aboue all take to you the shelde of fayth, wherwith ye maye quench all the fyrie dartes of the wycked.
6:17And take the helmet of saluacion and the swerd of the spyrite, which is the word of God.
6:18And praye all wayes wyth all maner prayer and supplicacion: and that in the spirite, and watch therunto with all instaunce and supplication for all sainctes,
6:19and for me, that vtteraunce maye be geuen vnto me, that I maye open my mouth bloudly, to vtter the secretes of the Gospel,
6:20wherof I am a messenger in boundes that therin I may speake frely, as it becommeth me to speake.
6:21But that ye maye also knowe what condicion I am in and what I do. Tichicus my deare brother and faythfull mynyster in the Lorde, shal shewe you of all thinges,
6:22whom I sent vnto you for the same purpose, that ye myght knowe what case I stand in, and that he myght comforte your hertes.
6:23Peace be with the brethren, and loue with fayth from God the father, and from the Lorde Iesus Christe.
6:24Grace be with al them whiche loue oure Lorde Iesus Christe in purenes. Amen.

6:1Chyldren, obey your fathers and mothers in the Lorde: for this is ryght.
6:2Honour thy father and mother (whiche is the first commaundement in promise)
6:3That thou mayest prosper, and lyue long on earth.
6:4Fathers prouoke not your children to wrath: but bring them vp in instruction and information of the Lorde.
6:5Seruauntes obey them that are your bodyly maisters, with feare and tremblyng, in singlenesse of your heart, as vnto Christe.
6:6Not with seruice vnto the eye, as men pleasers: but as the seruautes of Christ.
6:7Doyng the wyll of God fro the heart, with good wyll seruyng the Lorde, and not men:
6:8Knowyng, that whatsoeuer good thyng any man doeth, that shall he receaue agayne of the Lorde, whether [he be] bonde or free.
6:9And ye maisters do the same thynges vnto them, puttyng away threatnyng: knowyng that your maister also is in heauen, neither is respecte of person with hym.
6:10Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lorde, & in the power of his might.
6:11Put on all the armour of God, that ye may stande agaynst the assaultes of the deuyll.
6:12For we wrastle not agaynst blood & flesshe: but agaynst rule, agaynst power, agaynst worldly gouernours of the darknesse of this worlde, agaynst spirituall craftynesse in heauenly [places.]
6:13Wherfore take vnto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the euyll day, and hauing finished all thynges, to stande fast.
6:14Stande therfore, hauyng loynes girt about with the trueth, and puttyng on the brest plate of righteousnesse,
6:15And hauyng your feete shodde, in the preparation of the Gospell of peace.
6:16Aboue all, takyng the shielde of fayth, wherwith ye may quenche all the fierie dartes of the wicked:
6:17And take the helmet of saluation, and the sworde of the spirite, whiche is the worde of God.
6:18Praying alwayes in all prayer and supplication in the spirite, and watche thervnto with all instaunce and supplication, for all saintes,
6:19And for me, that vtteraunce may be geue vnto me, yt I may open my mouth freely, to vtter ye secretes of the Gospell.
6:20Whereof I am messenger in bondes, that therein I may speake freely, as I ought to speake.
6:21But yt ye may also knowe my affaires, and what I do, Tichicus a deare brother and faythfull minister in the Lord, shall shewe you all thynges:
6:22Whom I haue sent vnto you for the same purpose, that ye myght knowe of our affaires, and that he myght comfort your heartes.
6:23Peace [be] vnto the brethren, and loue, with fayth, from God the father, and from the Lorde Iesus Christe.
6:24Grace be with all them whiche loue our Lorde Iesus Christe in sinceritie. Amen.

6:1Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
6:2Honor thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise)
6:3That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
6:4And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
6:5Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ;
6:6Not with eye-service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
6:7With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
6:8Knowing that whatever good thing any man doeth, the same will he receive from the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
6:9And, ye masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
6:10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
6:11Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
6:12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
6:13Wherefore take to you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
6:14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breast-plate of righteousness;
6:15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
6:16Above all, taking the shield of faith, with which ye will be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the wicked.
6:17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
6:18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching for this purpose with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
6:19And for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
6:20For which I am an embassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
6:21But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make known to you all things:
6:22Whom I have sent to you for the same purpose, that ye may know our affairs, and that he may comfort your hearts.
6:23Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
6:24Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
