Philippians - Chapter: 2


2:1	If there be amonge you anye consolation in Christ, yf there be anye comfortable loue, yf there be anye feloweshyp of spirite, yf there be any compassion or mercye,
2:2	fulfyll my ioye that ye drawe one waye hauinge one loue, being of one accorde, and of one minde,
2:3	that nothing be done thorowe stryfe or vaine glorye, but that in mekenes of mynde euerye man esteme other better then him selfe,
2:4	& that no man considere his owne, but what is meate for other.
2:5	Let the same mynde be in you that was in Christ Iesu:
2:6	Whiche beinge in the shap of God, and thought it not robbery to be equal wt God.
2:7	Neuerthelesse he made hym selfe of no reputation, & toke on him the shap of a seruaunt, and became lyke vnto men,
2:8	and was founde in hys aparell as a man. He humbled hym selfe, and became obediente vnto the death euen the death of the crosse.
2:9	Wherfore God hath exalted hym, and geuen hym a name aboue al names,
2:10	that in the name of Iesus should euerye knee bowe, both of thinges in heauen and thinges in earth, and thinges vnder the earth,
2:11	and that al tounges should confesse that Iesus Christ is the Lorde vnto the prayse of God the father.
2:12	Wherfore my dearlye beloued, as ye haue alwayes obeyed, not when I was presente onelye, but nowe much more in myne absence euen so worke out your owne saluacion wt feare and trembling.
2:13	For it is God, whyche worketh in you, both the wyll and also the dede, euen of good wyl.
2:14	Do al thinge wythout murmuringe and disputynge,
2:15	that ye maye be fauteles & pure, the sonnes of God wythout rebuke, in the middes of a croked and a peruerse nacyon, amonge whiche se that ye shine as lightes in the worlde,
2:16	holding fast the worde of life, vnto my reioysing in the daye of Christe, that I haue not runne in vayne, neyther haue laboured in vaine.
2:17	Yea, and though I be offered vp vpon the offeringe and sacrifyce of youre fayth: I reioyce, and reioyce wyth you al.
2:18	For the same cause also, reioyce ye, and reioyce ye wyth me.
2:19	I truste in the Lord Iesus for to sende Timotheus shortely vnto you, that I also maye be of good comforte, when I knowe what case ye stand in.
2:20	For I haue noman that is so lyke mynded to me, whiche with so pure affeccion careth for youre matters.
2:21	For al other seke theyr owne, and not that whiche is Iesus Christes.
2:22	Ye knowe the profe of hym, howe that as a sonne with the father, so with me bestowed he his laboure vpon the Gospel
2:23	Hym I hope to send assone as I knowe, howe it wyl go with me.
2:24	I truste in the Lord I also my selfe shal come shortly.
2:25	I supposed it necessarye to sende brother Epaphroditus vnto you, my companion in laboure and felow souldier, youre Apostle & my minister at my nedes.
2:26	For he lounged after you, and was full of heauines, because that ye had hearde saye, that he shoulde be sycke.
2:27	And no dout he was sicke, and that nye vnto death. But God had mercye on hym not on hym onely, but on me also, lest I should haue had sorowe vpon sorowe.
2:28	I sent him therfore the diligentliar, that when ye shoulde se hym, ye might reioyce againe, and I myght be the lesse sorowfull.
2:29	Receiue him therfore in the Lorde wyth al gladnes, and make muche of suche:
2:30	because that for the worke of Christ he went so farre, that he was nye vnto death, and regarded not hys lyfe, to fulfyll that seruice, whiche was lackinge on your part towarde me.

2:12	Wherfore (my dearly beloued) as ye haue alwayes obeyed, not when I was present onely, but nowe moche more in myne absence, euen so worcke out youre awne saluacion with feare and tremblyng.
2:13	For it is God, which worketh in you, both the wyll and also the dede, euen of good wyll.

2:15	that ye maye be soche as no man came complayne on: and vnfayned sonnes of God without rebuke, in the myddes of a croked and peruerse nacyon: amonge whom se that ye shyne as lyghtes in the worlde,
2:16	holdynge faste the worde of lyfe, that I maye reioyce in the daye of Chryst, howe that I haue not runne in vayne, nether haue laboured in vayne.
2:17	Yee and though I be offered vp vpon the offeringe & sacrifyce of youre fayth: I reioyce and reioyce with you all.

2:30	because that for the worke of Chryst he went so farre, that he was nye vnto deeth, and regarded not hys lyfe: to fullfyll that, which was lackynge on youre parte to warde me.

2:6	Who being in ye forme of God, thought it no robberie to be equall with God:
2:7	But he made himself of no reputation, and tooke on him ye forme of a seruant, and was made like vnto men, and was founde in shape as a man.
2:8	He humbled himselfe, and became obedient vnto the death, euen the death of the Crosse.
2:9	Wherefore God hath also highly exalted him, and giuen him a Name aboue euery name,
2:10	That at the Name of Iesus shoulde euery knee bowe, both of things in heauen, and things in earth, and things vnder the earth,
2:11	And that euery tongue shoulde confesse that Iesus Christ is the Lord, vnto the glory of God the Father.
2:12	Wherefore my beloued, as ye haue alwayes obeyed me, not as in my presence only, but now much more in mine absence, so make an end of your owne saluation with feare and trembling.
2:13	For it is God which worketh in you, both the will and the deede, euen of his good pleasure.
2:14	Do all things without murmuring and reasonings,
2:15	That ye may be blamelesse, and pure, and the sonnes of God without rebuke in the middes of a naughtie and crooked nation, among whom yee shine as lights in the world,
2:16	Holding forth the worde of life, that I may reioyce in the day of Christ, that I haue not runne in vaine, neither haue laboured in vaine.
2:17	Yea, and though I bee offered vp vpon the sacrifice, and seruice of your faith, I am glad, and reioyce with you all.
2:18	For the same cause also be ye glad, and reioyce with me.
2:19	And I trust in the Lord Iesus, to sende Timotheus shortly vnto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I knowe your state.
2:20	For I haue no man like minded, who will faithfully care for your matters.
2:21	For all seeke their owne, and not that which is Iesus Christes.
2:22	But yee knowe the proofe of him, that as a sonne with the father, hee hath serued with me in the Gospel.
2:23	Him therefore I hope to send assoone as I knowe howe it will goe with me,
2:24	And trust in the Lord, that I also my selfe shall come shortly.
2:25	But I supposed it necessarie to sende my brother Epaphroditus vnto you, my companion in labour, and fellowe souldier, euen your messenger, and he that ministred vnto me such things as I wanted.
2:26	For he longed after all you, and was full of heauinesse, because yee had heard that hee had beene sicke.
2:27	And no doubt he was sicke, very neere vnto death: but God had mercie on him, and not on him onely, but on me also, least I should haue sorowe vpon sorowe.
2:28	I sent him therefore the more diligently, that when yee shoulde see him againe, yee might reioyce, and I might be the lesse sorowfull.
2:29	Receiue him therefore in the Lord with all gladnesse, and make much of such:
2:30	Because that for the woorke of Christ he was neere vnto death, and regarded not his life, to fulfill that seruice which was lacking on your part towarde me.
