1 Timothy - Chapter: 6

>
6:1Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and His doctrine may not be blasphemed.
6:2And those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brethren, but rather serve them because those who are benefited are faithful and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.
6:3If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,
6:4he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions,
6:5useless disputations of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that gain is godliness. From such withdraw yourself.
6:6Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
6:7Because, we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
6:8And having food and clothing, with these we should be content.
6:9But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
6:10Because, the love of money is the root of all evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their covetousness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
6:11But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
6:12Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed a good confession before of many witnesses.
6:13I command you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed a good confession before Pontius Pilate,
6:14that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
6:15which He will reveal in His own timeframe, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
6:16who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.
6:17Command those who are rich in this present age not to be arrogant, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
6:18That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to share,
6:19storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
6:20O Timothy! Guard that which was committed to your trust, avoiding profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called science,
6:21by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.

6:1Let as many seruaunts as are vnder the yoke, count their masters worthie of all honour, that the Name of God, and his doctrine be not euill spoken of.
6:2And they which haue beleeuing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren, but rather doe seruice, because they are faithfull, and beloued, and partakers of the benefite. These things teach and exhort.
6:3If any man teach otherwise, and consenteth not to the wholesome wordes of our Lord Iesus Christ, and to the doctrine, which is according to godlinesse,
6:4He is puft vp and knoweth nothing, but doteth about questions and strife of words, whereof commeth enuie, strife, railings, euill surmisings,
6:5Frowarde disputations of men of corrupt mindes and destitute of ye trueth, which thinke that gaine is godlines: from such separate thy selfe.
6:6But godlinesse is great gaine, if a man be content with that he hath.
6:7For we brought nothing into the world, and it is certaine, that we can carie nothing out.
6:8Therefore when wee haue foode and raiment, let vs therewith be content.
6:9For they that will be rich, fall into tentation and snares, and into many foolish and noysome lustes, which drowne men in perdition and destruction.
6:10For the desire of money is the roote of all euill, which while some lusted after, they erred from the faith, and pearced themselues through with many sorowes.
6:11But thou, O man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousnesse, godlines, faith, loue, patience, and meekenes.
6:12Fight the good fight of faith: lay holde of eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
6:13I charge thee in the sight of God, who quickeneth all thinges, and before Iesus Christ, which vnder Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession,
6:14That thou keepe this commandement without spot, and vnrebukeable, vntill the appearing of our Lord Iesus Christ,
6:15Which in due time hee shall shewe, that is blessed and Prince onely, the King of Kings and Lord of Lordes,
6:16Who onely hath immortalitie, and dwelleth in the light that none can attaine vnto, whom neuer man sawe, neither can see, vnto whome bee honour and power euerlasting, Amen.
6:17Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, and that they trust not in vncertaine riches, but in the liuing God, (which giueth vs aboundantly, all things to enioy)
6:18That they doe good, and be riche in good woorkes, and readie to distribute, and comunicate,
6:19Laying vp in store for themselues a good foundation against the time to come, that they may obteine eternall life.
6:20O Timotheus, keepe that which is committed vnto thee, and auoide prophane and vaine babblings, and oppositios of science falsely so called,
6:21Which while some professe, they haue erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee, Amen.

6:1Let as many servauntes as are vnder ye yoke counte their masters worthy of all honour that the name of god and his doctryne be not evyll spoken of.
6:2Se that they which have belevynge masters despyse them not because they are brethren: but so moche the rather do service for as moche as they are belevynge and beloved and partakers of the benefite.
6:3These thynges teache and exhorte. Yf eny man teache other wise and is not contet with ye wholsome wordes of oure lorde Iesu christ and with the doctryne of godlines
6:4he is pufte vp and knoweth nothynge: but wasteth his braynes aboute questions and stryfe of wordes wherof sprynge envie stryfe raylinges evyll surmysinges
6:5and vayne disputacions of men with corrupte myndes and destitute of the trueth which thynke that lucre is godlines. From soche seperate thy silfe.
6:6Godlines is great ryches yf a man be content with that he hath.
6:7For we brought nothynge into the worlde and it is a playne case that we can cary nothynge out.
6:8When we have fode and rayment let vs therwith be contet.
6:9They that wilbe ryche faule into temptacio and snares and into many folysshe and noysome lustes which droune me in perdicion and destruccion.
6:10For coveteousnes is the rote of all evyll which whill some lusted after they erred fro the fayth and tanglyd them selves with many sorowes.
6:11But thou which arte the man of god flye soche thynges Folowe rightewesnes godlines love pacience and meknes.
6:12Fyght ye good fyght of fayth. Laye honde on eternall lyfe where vnto thou arte called and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
6:13I geve the charge in the sight of God which quickneth all thinges and before Iesu Christ which vnder Pocius Pilate witnessed a good witnessinge
6:14yt thou kepe the comaundemet and be with out spotte and vnrebukeable vntyll the apperynge of oure lorde Iesus Christ
6:15which aperynge (when the tyme ys come) he shall shewe that is blessed and myghty only kynge of kynges and lorde of lordes
6:16which only hath immortalite and dwelleth in light that no man can attayne whom never man sawe nether can se: vnto whom be honoure and rule everlastynge. Amen.
6:17 Charge them that are ryche in this worlde that they be not excedynge wyse and that they trust not in the vncertayne ryches but in the livynge god which geveth vs aboundantly all thynges to enioye them
6:18and that they do good and be ryche in good workes and redy to geve and to distribute
6:19layinge vp in store for them selves a good foundacio agaynst the tyme to come yt they maye obteyne eternall lyfe
6:20O Timothe save that which is geve ye to kepe and avoyde vngostly vanities of voyces and opposicios of sciece falsly so called
6:21which sciece whyll some professed they have erred as concernynge the fayth. Grace be with the Amen.
