6:1	What euere seruauntis ben vndur yok, deme thei her lordis worthi al onour, lest the name of the Lord and the doctryn be blasfemyd.
6:2	And thei that han feithful lordis, dispise hem not, for thei ben britheren; but more serue thei, for thei ben feithful and louyd, whiche ben parceneris of benefice. Teche thou these thingis, and moneste thou these thingis.
6:3	If ony man techith othere wise, and acordith not to the hoolsum wordis of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, and to that teching that is bi pitee,
6:4	he is proud, and kan no thing, but langwischith aboute questiouns and stryuyng of wordis, of the whiche ben brouyt forth enuyes, stryues, blasfemyes, yuele suspiciouns, fiytingis of men,
6:5	that ben corrupt in soule, and that ben pryued fro treuthe, that demen wynnyng to be pitee.
6:6	But a greet wynnyng is pitee, with sufficience.
6:7	For we brouyten in no thing in to this world, and no doute, that we moun not bere `awey ony thing.
6:8	But we hauynge foodis, and with what thingus we schulen be hilid, be we paied with these thingis.
6:9	For thei that wolen be maad riche, fallen in to temptacioun, and `in to snare of the deuel, and in to many vnprofitable desiris and noyous, whiche drenchen men in to deth and perdicioun.
6:10	For the rote of alle yuelis is coueytise, which summen coueitinge erriden fro the feith, and bisettiden hem with many sorewis.
6:11	But, thou, man of God, fle these thingis; but sue thou riytwisnesse, pite, feith, charite, pacience, myldenesse.
6:12	Stryue thou a good strijf of feith, catche euerlastinge lijf, in to which thou art clepid, and hast knoulechid a good knouleching bifor many witnessis.
6:13	I comaunde to thee bifor God, that quikeneth alle thingis, and bifor Crist Jhesu, that yeldide a witnessing vnder Pilat of Pounce, a good confessioun,
6:14	that thou kepe the comaundement with out wem, with out repreef, in to the comyng of oure Lord Jhesu Crist;
6:15	whom the blessid and aloone miyti king of kyngis and Lord of lordis schal schewe in his tymes.
6:16	Which aloone hath vndeedlynesse, and dwellith in liyt, to which no man may come; whom no man say, nether may se; to whom glorie, and honour, and empire be with out ende.
6:17	Amen. Comaunde thou to the riche men of this world, that thei vndurstonde not hiyli, nether that thei hope in vncerteynte of richessis, but in the lyuynge God, that yyueth to vs alle thingis plenteuously to vse;
6:18	to do wel, to be maad riche in good werkis, liytli to yyue,
6:19	to comyne, to tresoure to hem silf a good foundement in to tyme to comynge, that thei catche euerlastinge lijf.
6:20	Thou Tymothe, kepe the thing bitakun to thee, eschewynge cursid noueltees of voicis, and opynyouns of fals name of kunnyng;
6:21	which summen bihetinge, aboute the feith fellen doun. The grace of God be with thee. Amen.


6:1	Let as many servauntes as are vnder ye yoke counte their masters worthy of all honour that the name of god and his doctryne be not evyll spoken of.
6:2	Se that they which have belevynge masters despyse them not because they are brethren: but so moche the rather do service for as moche as they are belevynge and beloved and partakers of the benefite.
6:3	These thynges teache and exhorte. Yf eny man teache other wise and is not contet with ye wholsome wordes of oure lorde Iesu christ and with the doctryne of godlines
6:4	he is pufte vp and knoweth nothynge: but wasteth his braynes aboute questions and stryfe of wordes wherof sprynge envie stryfe raylinges evyll surmysinges
6:5	and vayne disputacions of men with corrupte myndes and destitute of the trueth which thynke that lucre is godlines. From soche seperate thy silfe.
6:6	Godlines is great ryches yf a man be content with that he hath.
6:7	For we brought nothynge into the worlde and it is a playne case that we can cary nothynge out.
6:8	When we have fode and rayment let vs therwith be contet.
6:9	They that wilbe ryche faule into temptacio and snares and into many folysshe and noysome lustes which droune me in perdicion and destruccion.
6:10	For coveteousnes is the rote of all evyll which whill some lusted after they erred fro the fayth and tanglyd them selves with many sorowes.
6:11	But thou which arte the man of god flye soche thynges Folowe rightewesnes godlines love pacience and meknes.
6:12	Fyght ye good fyght of fayth. Laye honde on eternall lyfe where vnto thou arte called and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
6:13	I geve the charge in the sight of God which quickneth all thinges and before Iesu Christ which vnder Pocius Pilate witnessed a good witnessinge
6:14	yt thou kepe the comaundemet and be with out spotte and vnrebukeable vntyll the apperynge of oure lorde Iesus Christ
6:15	which aperynge (when the tyme ys come) he shall shewe that is blessed and myghty only kynge of kynges and lorde of lordes
6:16	which only hath immortalite and dwelleth in light that no man can attayne whom never man sawe nether can se: vnto whom be honoure and rule everlastynge. Amen.
6:17	Charge them that are ryche in this worlde that they be not excedynge wyse and that they trust not in the vncertayne ryches but in the livynge god which geveth vs aboundantly all thynges to enioye them
6:18	and that they do good and be ryche in good workes and redy to geve and to distribute
6:19	layinge vp in store for them selves a good foundacio agaynst the tyme to come yt they maye obteyne eternall lyfe
6:20	O Timothe save that which is geve ye to kepe and avoyde vngostly vanities of voyces and opposicios of sciece falsly so called
6:21	which sciece whyll some professed they have erred as concernynge the fayth. Grace be with the Amen.

6:2	Se that they which haue beleuynge masters, despyse them not because they are brethre, but rather do seruyce, for so moch as they are beleuynge, and beloued, and partakers of the benefite.
6:3	These thinges teach and exhorte. Yf eny ma teach otherwyse, and agreeth not vnto the wholsome wordes of oure LORDE Iesus Christ, and to the doctryne of godlynes,
6:4	he is puft vp, and knoweth nothinge, but waysteth his brayne aboute questions and stryuynges of wordes: wherof sprynge envye, stryfe, raylinges, euell surmysinges,
6:5	vayne disputacios of soch men as haue corrupte myndes, and are robbed of the trueth, which thynke that godlynes is lucre: From soch separate thy selfe.
6:6	Howbeit it is greate avautage, who so is godly, and holdeth him content with that he hath.
6:7	For we broughte nothinge in to the worlde, therfore is it a playne case yt we can cary nothinge out.
6:8	Whan we haue fode and rayment, let vs therwith be content.
6:9	For they that wylbe riche, fall in to the teptacion and snare, and in to many folisshe & noysome lustes, which drowne men in destruccion and damnacion.
6:10	For Couetousnes is the rote of all euell, which whyle some lusted after, they erred from the faith, and tangled them selues with many sorowes.
6:11	But thou man of God, flye soche thinges: folowe righteousnes, godlynes, faith, loue, pacience, mekenes:
6:12	fighte a good fighte of faith: laye honde on eternall life, where vnto thou art called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
6:13	I geue the charge before God, which quyckeneth all thinges, & before Iesu Christ, which vnder Pontius Pilate witnessed a good witnessynge,
6:14	that thou kepe the commaundement, without spot, vnreproueable, vntyll the appearynge of oure LORDE Iesus Christ,
6:15	which appearynge (at his tyme) he shal shewe that is blessed, and mightie onely, the kynge of all kynges, and LORDE of all lordes:
6:16	which onely hath immortalite, and dwelleth in a lighte, that no man can attayne: whom no man hath sene, nether can se. Vnto whom be honoure and empyre euerlastinge, Amen.
6:17	Charge the which are riche in this worlde, that they be not proude, ner trust in the vncertayne riches, but in the lyuynge God (which geueth vs abundauntly all thinges to enioye them:)
6:18	That they do good: that they be rich in good workes: that they geue and distribute with a good wyll:
6:19	gatherynge vp treasure for them selues, a good foundacion, agaynst ye tyme to come, that they maye laye honde on eternall life.
6:20	O Timothy, kepe that which is committed vnto the, and avoyde vngoostly vayne wordes, and opposicions of science falsly so called,
6:21	which whyle some professed, they haue erred as concernynge the faith. Grace be with the, Amen.
