| 3:1 | This know also, that in the last dayes perillous times shall come. |
| 3:2 | For men shall bee louers of their owne selues, couetous, boasters, proude, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, vnthankfull, vnholy, |
| 3:3 | Without naturall affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, |
| 3:4 | Traitours, heady, high minded, louers of pleasures more then louers of God, |
| 3:5 | Hauing a forme of godlinesse, but denying the power thereof: from such turne away. |
| 3:6 | For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and leade captiue silly women laden with sinnes, led away with diuers lusts, |
| 3:7 | Euer learning, and neuer able to come to the knowledge of the trueth. |
| 3:8 | Now as Iannes and Iambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the trueth: men of corrupt mindes, reprobate concerning the faith. |
| 3:9 | But they shal proceede no further: for their folly shall be manifest vnto all men, as theirs also was. |
| 3:10 | But thou hast fully knowen my doctrine, maner of life, purpose, faith, long suffering, charitie, patience, |
| 3:11 | Persecutions, afflictions which came vnto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra, what persecutions I indured: but out of them all the Lord deliuered me. |
| 3:12 | Yea, and all that will liue godly in Christ Iesus, shall suffer persecution. |
| 3:13 | But euill men and seducers shall waxe worse and worse, deceiuing, and being deceiued. |
| 3:14 | But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned, and hast been assured of, knowing of whome thou hast learned them. |
| 3:15 | And that from a childe thou hast knowen the holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise vnto saluation through faith which is in Christ Iesus. |
| 3:16 | All Scripture is giuen by inspiration of God, & is profitable for doctrine, for reproofe, for correction, for instrution in righteousnesse, |
| 3:17 | That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished vnto all good workes. |
| 3:1 | Bvt this shalt thou knowe, that in the last dayes shal come parelous tymes. |
| 3:2 | For there shalbe me which shal holde of the selues, couetous, boasters, proude, cursed speakers, dishobedient to their elders, vnthankfull, vngoostly, |
| 3:3 | vnkynde, truce breakers, false accusers, ryatours, fearce, despysers of them which are good, |
| 3:4 | traytours, heady, hye mynded, gredy vpon voluptuousnes more then the louers of God, |
| 3:5 | hauynge a shyne off godly lyuynge, but denyenge the power therof. And soch avoyde. |
| 3:6 | Of this sorte are they which rune fro house to house, & brynge in to bondage weme lade wt synne: which (wemen) are led with dyuerse lustes, |
| 3:7 | euer lernynge, and are neuer able to come vnto the knowlege of the trueth. |
| 3:8 | But like as Iamnes and Iabres withstode Moses, euen so do these also resist the trueth: me they are of corrupte myndes, and lewde as cocernynge ye faith: |
| 3:9 | but they shal preuayle no longer. For their folishnes shalbe manifest vnto all men, as theirs was. |
| 3:10 | But thou hast sene the experience of my doctryne, my fasshion of lyuynge, my purpose, my faith, my longsufferynge, my loue, my pacience, |
| 3:11 | my persecucions, my affliccions, which happened vnto me at Antioche, at Iconium, at Lystra, which persecucions I suffred paciently, and from the all the LORDE delyuered me. |
| 3:12 | Yee and all they that wil lyue godly in Christ Iesu, must suffre persecucion. |
| 3:13 | But the euell men and disceauers shal waxe worse and worse, disceauynge and beynge disceaued. |
| 3:14 | But contynue thou in the thinges that thou hast lerned, which also were comytted vnto the, seynge thou knowest of who thou hast learned them, |
| 3:15 | And for so moch as thou hast knowne holy scripture of a childe, the same is able to make ye wyse vnto saluacion thorow the faith in Christ Iesu. |
| 3:16 | For all scripture geue by inspiracion of God, is profitable to teach, to improue, to amende, and to instructe in righteousnes, |
| 3:17 | that a man off God maye be perfecte, and prepared vnto all good workes. |

| 3:3 | cursid, with outen affeccioun, with out pees, false blameris, vncontynent, vnmylde, |
| 3:4 | with out benygnyte, traitouris, ouerthwert, bollun with proude thouytis, blynde, loueris of lustis more than of God, |
| 3:5 | hauynge the licknesse of pitee, but denyynge the vertu of it. And eschewe thou these men. |
| 3:6 | Of these thei ben that persen housis, and leden wymmen caitifs chargid with synnes, whiche ben led with dyuerse desiris, euere more lernynge, |
| 3:7 | and neuere perfitli comynge to the science of treuthe. |
| 3:8 | And as Jannes and Mambres ayenstoden Moises, so these ayenstonden treuthe, men corrupt in vndirstonding, repreuyd aboute the feith. |
| 3:9 | But ferthere thei schulen not profite, for the vnwisdom of hem schal be knowun to alle men, as hern was. |
| 3:10 | But thou hast getun my teching, ordinaunce, purposing, feith, long abiding, loue, |
| 3:11 | pacience, persecuciouns, passiouns, whiche weren maad to me at Antioche, at Ycony, at Listris, what maner persecucyouns Y suffride, and the Lord hath delyuered me of alle. |
| 3:12 | And alle men that wolen lyue feithfuli in Crist Jhesu, schulen suffre persecucioun. |
