20:1 | And I saw an angel come doune from heauen, hauing the keye of the bottomlesse pytte, & a greate cheyne in his hand. |
20:2 | And he toke the dragon that olde serpent which is the deuyl and Satanas, & he bound him a thousand yeares: |
20:3 | and cast him into the botomles pyt, and he bounde hym, and set a seale on him, that he shuld deceyue the people nomore, tyl the thousand yeares were fulfilled. And after that he must be loused for a lytle season. |
20:4 | And I saw seates and they sate vpon them and iudgement was geuen vnto them: & I saw the soules of them that were beheaded for the wytnes of Iesu, & for the worde of God, which had not worshypped the beast, nether his Image, nether had taken hys marke vpon theyr forheades, or on theyr handes: and they lyued, and reygned with Christ a thousande yere: |
20:5 | but the other of the dead men lyued not agayne, vntil the .M. yeres were fynyshed. This is the fyrste resurreccion. |
20:6 | Blessed & holy is he that hath part in the fyrst resurreccyon. For on suche shall the seconde death haue no power, for they shalbe the priestes of God and of christe, and shall raygne wyth hym a thousande yeare. |
20:7 | And when the thousand yeres are expired, Sathan shal be loused out of hys pryson, |
20:8 | & shal go out to deceiue the people which are in the four quarters of the earthe Gog & Magog, to gether them together to battayle, whose nomber is as the sande of the sea, |
20:9 | & they went vpon the playne of the earth, & compassed the tentes of the saynctes about & the beloued cytye. And fyre came doune from God, out of heauen, & deuoured them: |
20:10 | & the deuyll that deceyued them, was caste into a lake of fyre and brymstone, where the beast and the false Prophet were & shalbe tormented daye and nyghte for euermore. |
20:11 | And I sawe a great whyte seate and hym that sate on it, from whose face fled away bothe the earthe & heauen, & theyr place was no more founde. |
20:12 | And I sawe the deade, both great and small stande before God: & the bokes were opened, & an other boke was opened, which is the boke of lyfe, and the dead were iudged of those thynges: which were wrytten in the bokes accordyng to theyr deedes: |
20:13 | & the sea gaue vp her deade, which were in her, & death & hel delyuered vp the deade which were in them: & they were iudged euery man according to hys deedes. |
20:14 | And death & hell were cast into the lake of fyre. Thys is that seconde death. |
20:15 | And who so euer was not founde wrytten in the boke of lyfe, was caste into the lake of fyre. |

20:4 | And I sawe thrones, and they sate vpon them, and iudgement was geuen vnto them: and I sawe the soules of them that were beheaded for the witnesse of Iesus, and for the word of God, and whiche had not worshipped the beast neither his image, neither had taken his marke vpon their foreheads, or in their handes: and they lyued and raigned with Christe a thousand yeres. |
20:5 | But the other of the dead men shall not lyue agayne, vntyll the thousande yeres be finished. This is the first resurrection. |
20:6 | Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: For on such shal the seconde death haue no power, but they shalbe the priestes of God and of Christe, and shall raigne with hym a thousande yeres. |
20:7 | And when the thousande yeres are expired, Satan shalbe loosed out of his pryson. |
20:8 | And shall go out to deceaue the people which are in the foure quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battayle, whose number is as the sande of the sea. |
20:9 | And they went vp in the playne of the earth, and compassed the tentes of the saintes about, and the beloued citie: and fire came downe from God out of heauen, and deuoured them: |
20:10 | And the deuyll that deceaued them, was cast into a lake of fire & brymstone, where the beast and the false prophete shalbe tormented day & nyght for euermore. |
20:11 | And I sawe a great whyte throne, and him that sate on it, fro whose face fledde away both the earth and heauen, and their place was no more founde. |
20:12 | And I sawe the dead both great and small stand before God, and the bookes were opened: and another booke was opened, which is [the booke] of lyfe, and the dead were iudged of those thynges whiche were written in the bookes, accordyng to their deedes. |
20:13 | And the sea gaue vp her dead whiche were in her, and death and hell delyuered vp the dead whiche were in them: and they were iudged euery man accordyng to his deedes. |
20:14 | And death and hell were cast into the lake of fyre. This is the seconde death. |
20:15 | And whosoeuer was not founde written in the booke of lyfe, was cast into the lake of fire. |

20:4 | And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. |
20:5 | But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. |
20:6 | Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. |
20:7 | And when the thousand years have expired, Satan shall be loosed from his prison, |
20:8 | And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. |
20:9 | And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and encompassed the camp of the saints, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. |
20:10 | And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. |
20:11 | And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. |
20:12 | And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. |
20:13 | And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. |
20:14 | And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. |
20:15 | And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. |
