1 Chronicles - Chapter: 14

>
14:1Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to Dauid, and timber of Cedars, with masons, and carpenters to build him an house.
14:2And Dauid perceiued that the Lord had confirmed him king ouer Israel, for his kingdome was lift vp on high, because of his people Israel.
14:3And Dauid tooke moe wiues at Ierusalem: and Dauid begate moe sonnes and daughters.
14:4Now these are the names of his children which hee had in Ierusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,
14:5And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,
14:6And Noga, and Nepheg, and Iaphia,
14:7And Elishama, and Beeliada, and Elpalet.
14:8And when the Philistines heard that Dauid was anoynted king ouer all Israel, all the Philistines went vp to seeke Dauid: and Dauid heard of it, and went out against them.
14:9And the Philistines came & spread themselues in the valley of Rephaim.
14:10And Dauid enquired of God, saying, Shall I goe vp against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliuer them into mine hand? And the Lord said vnto him, Go vp, for I will deliuer them into thine hand.
14:11So they came vp to Baal-Perazim, and Dauid smote them there. Then Dauid said, God hath broken in vpon mine enemies by mine hand, like the breaking foorth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place, Baal-Perazim.
14:12And when they had left their gods there, Dauid gaue a commandement, and they were burnt with fire.
14:13And the Philistines yet againe spread themselues abroad in the valley.
14:14Therfore Dauid enquired againe of God, and God said vnto him, Goe not vp after them, turne away from them, and come vpon them ouer against the mulbery trees.
14:15And it shall bee, when thou shalt heare a sound of going in the tops of the mulbery trees, that then thou shalt goe out to battaile: for God is gone foorth before thee, to smite the hoste of the Philistines.
14:16Dauid therefore did as God commanded him: and they smote the hoste of the Philistines from Gibeon euen to Gazer.
14:17And the fame of Dauid went out into all lands, and the Lord brought the feare of him vpon all nations.

14:9And the Philistims came, and spred them selues in the valley of Rephaim.
14:10Then Dauid asked counsel at God, saying, Shall I goe vp against the Philistims, and wilt thou deliuer them into mine hande? And the Lord saide vnto him, Goe vp: for I will deliuer them into thine hande.
14:11So they came vp to Baal-perazim, and Dauid smote them there: and Dauid said, God hath deuided mine enemies with mine hande, as waters are deuided: therefore they called the name of that place, Baal-perazim.
14:12And there they had left their gods: and Dauid said, Let them euen be burnt with fire.
14:13Againe the Philistims came and spread them selues in the valley.
14:14And when Dauid asked againe counsell at God, God said to him, Thou shalt not goe vp after them, but turne away from them, that thou mayest come vpon them ouer against the mulberie trees.
14:15And when thou hearest the noyse of one going in the toppes of the mulberie trees, then goe out to battel: for God is gone foorth before thee, to smite the hoste of the Philistims.
14:16So Dauid did as God had commanded him: and they smote the hoste of the Philistims from Gibeon euen to Gezer.
14:17And the fame of Dauid went out into all landes, and the Lord brought the feare of him vpon all nations.

14:2And Dauid perceaued, that the Lorde had confirmed hym kynge vpon Israel, and that hys kyngdome was lyfte vp on hye, because of hys people Israel.
14:3And Dauid toke yet mo wyues at Ierusalem, and begat mo sonnes and daughters.
14:4These are the names of hys chyldren, which were borne vnto him at Ierusalem: Samua, Sobab, Nathan and Salomon:
14:5Iibhar, Elisua and Elipalet,
14:6Noga, Nepheg and Iaphia,
14:7Elisama, Beeliada and Eliphalet.
14:8And when the Philistines heard that Dauid was anoynted kynge vpon all Israel, all the Philistines went vpto seke Dauid. And Dauid hearde of it, and went oute agaynst them.
14:9And the Philistines came in, & praunsed thorowe the valey of Rephaim.
14:10And Dauid asked councell at God saying: shall I go against the Philistines, and wylt thou delyuer them into myne hande? And the Lorde sayde vnto hym: go vp, for I wyll delyuer them into thine hande.
14:11And so they came vp to Baal Perazim & Dauid smote them there. And Dauid sayd: God hath deuided myne enemies with myne hande, as a man wolde deuyde water. And therfore they called the name of that place Baal Perazim.
14:12And whan they had lefte theyr gods there, Dauid gaue a commaundment, and they were burnt with fyre.
14:13And the Philistines came together agayne & russhed into the valley.
14:14And Dauid asked agayne at God. And God sayde to hym: go not vp after them, but turne awaye from them, that thou mayest come vpon them ouer agaynst the peeretres.
14:15And when thou hearest a sound go in the toppes of the peretrees, then go out to battell: for God is gone forth before the, to smyte the hoste of the Philistines.
14:16Dauid therfore dyd as God commaunded him: & they smote the hoste of the Philistines, from Gibeon to Gazer.
14:17And the fame of Dauid went out into all landes, and the Lorde made all nacyons feare hym.
