1 Chronicles - Chapter: 16


16:1	So they brought the Arke of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that Dauid had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices, and peace offerings before God.
16:2	And when Dauid had made an end of offering the burnt offerings, and the peace offrings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.
16:3	And hee dealt to euery one of Israel, both man and woman, to euery one a loafe of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
16:4	And he appointed certaine of the Leuites to minister before the Arke of the Lord, and to record, and to thanke and praise the Lord God of Israel,
16:5	Asaph the chiefe, and next to him Zachariah, Ieiel, and Shemiramoth, and Iehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed Edom: and Ieiel with Psalteries and with harpes: but Asaph made a sound with cymbals.
16:6	Benaiah also and Iahaziel the Priestes, with trumpets continually before the Arke of the Couenant of God.
16:7	Then on that day, Dauid deliuered first this Psalme to thanke the Lord, into the hand of Asaph and his brethren:
16:8	Giue thankes vnto the Lord, call vpon his name, make knowen his deeds among the people.
16:9	Sing vnto him, sing psalmes vnto him, talke you of all his wonderous workes.
16:10	Glory yee in his holy Name, let the heart of them reioyce that seeke the Lord.
16:11	Seeke the Lord, and his strength, seeke his face continually.
16:12	Remember his marueilous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the iudgements of his mouth,
16:13	O ye seed of Israel his seruant, ye children of Iacob his chosen ones.
16:14	He is the Lord our God, his iudgements are in all the earth.
16:15	Be ye mindfull alwayes of his Couenant: the worde which hee commanded to a thousand generations:
16:16	Euen of the Couenant which hee made with Abraham, and of his othe vnto Isaac:
16:17	And hath confirmed the same to Iacob for a lawe, and to Israel for an euerlasting Couenant,
16:18	Saying, vnto thee will I giue the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.
16:19	When ye were but few, euen a few, and strangers in it:
16:20	And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdome to another people:
16:21	Hee suffered no man to doe them wrong: yea, hee reprooued kings for their sakes,
16:22	Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and doe my Prophets no harme.
16:23	Sing vnto the Lord all the earth: shew foorth from day to day his saluation.
16:24	Declare his glory among the heathen: his marueilous workes among all nations.
16:25	For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared aboue all gods.
16:26	For all the gods of the people are idoles: but the Lord made the heauens.
16:27	Glory and honour are in his presence: strength and gladnesse are in his place.
16:28	Giue vnto the Lord, yee kinreds of the people: giue vnto the Lord glory and strength.
16:29	Giue vnto the Lord the glory due vnto his Name: bring an offering, and come before him, worship the Lord in the beautie of holinesse.
16:30	Feare before him all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not mooued.
16:31	Let the heauens be glad, and let the earth reioyce: and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.
16:32	Let the sea roare, and the fulnesse thereof: let the fieldes reioyce, and all that is therein.
16:33	Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the Lord, because hee commeth to iudge the earth.
16:34	O giue thanks vnto the Lord, for hee is good: for his mercy endureth for euer.
16:35	And say yee, Saue vs, O God of our saluation, and gather vs together, and deliuer vs from the heathen, that we may giue thanks to thy holy Name, and glory in thy praise.
16:36	Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for euer and euer: and all the people saide, Amen, and praised the Lord.
16:37	So hee left there before the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the Arke continually, as euery dayes worke required:
16:38	And Obed Edom with their brethren, threescore and eight: Obed Edom also the sonne of Ieduthun, and Hosah to be porters:
16:39	And Zadok the Priest, and his brethren the Priests, before the Tabernacle of the Lord, in the high place that was at Gibeon,
16:40	To offer burnt offerings vnto the Lord, vpon the Altar of the burnt offering continually morning and euening, and to doe according to all that is written in the Lawe of the Lord, which hee commanded Israel:
16:41	And with them Heman and Ieduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to giue thankes to the Lord, because his mercy endureth for euer.
16:42	And with them Heman and Ieduthun with trumpets and cymbales, for those that should make a sound, and with musicall instruments of God: and the sonnes of Ieduthun were Porters.
16:43	And all the people departed euery man to his house, and Dauid returned to blesse his house.

16:4	And he appointed certaine of the Leuites to minister before the Arke of the Lord, and to rehearse and to thanke and prayse the Lord God of Israel:
16:5	Asaph the chiefe, and next to him Zechariah, Ieiel, and Shemiramoth, and Iehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed Edom, euen Ieiel with instruments, violes and harpes, and Asaph to make a sound with cymbales,
16:6	And Benaiah and Iahaziel Priestes, with trumpets continually before the Arke of the couenant of God.
16:7	Then at that time Dauid did appoint at the beginning to giue thankes to the Lord by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
16:8	Praise the Lord and call vpon his Name: declare his workes among the people.
16:9	Sing vnto him, sing praise vnto him, and talke of all his wonderfull workes.
16:10	Reioyce in his holy Name: let the hearts of them that seeke the Lord reioyce.
16:11	Seeke the Lord and his strength: seeke his face continually.
16:12	Remember his marueilous workes that he hath done, his wonders, and the iudgements of his mouth,
16:13	O seede of Israel his seruant, O the children of Iaakob his chosen.
16:14	He is the Lord our God: his iudgements are throughout all the earth.
16:15	Remember his couenant for euer, and the worde, which hee commanded to a thousand generations:
16:16	Which he made with Abraham, and his othe to Izhak:
16:17	And hath confirmed it to Iaakob for a Law, and to Israel for an euerlasting couenant,
16:18	Saying, To thee will I giue the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.
16:19	When ye were fewe in number, yea, a very fewe, and strangers therein,
16:20	And walked about from nation to nation, and from one kingdome to another people,
16:21	He suffered no man to do them wrong, but rebuked Kings for their sakes, saying,
16:22	Touch not mine anoynted, and doe my Prophets no harme.
16:23	Sing vnto the Lord all the earth: declare his saluation from day to day.
16:24	Declare his glory among the nations, and his wonderful workes among all people.
16:25	For the Lord is great and much to be praised, and hee is to bee feared aboue all gods.
16:26	For all the gods of the people are idoles, but the Lord made the heauens.
16:27	Prayse and glory are before him: power and beautie are in his place.
16:28	Giue vnto the Lord, ye families of the people: giue vnto the Lord glory and power.
16:29	Giue vnto the Lord ye glory of his Name: bring an offring and come before him, and worship the Lord in the glorious Sanctuarie.
16:30	Tremble ye before him, al the earth: surely the world shalbe stable and not moue.
16:31	Let the heauens reioyce, and let the earth be glad, and let them say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.
16:32	Let the sea roare, and all that therein is: Let the field be ioyfull and all that is in it.
16:33	Let the trees of the wood then reioyce at the presence of the Lord: for he commeth to iudge the earth.
16:34	Prayse the Lord, for hee is good, for his mercie endureth for euer.
16:35	And say ye, Saue vs, O God, our saluation, and gather vs, and deliuer vs from the heathen, that we may prayse thine holy Name, and glorie in thy praise.
16:36	Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for euer and euer: and let all people say, So be it, and praise the Lord.
16:37	Then he left there before the Arke of the Lordes couenant Asaph and his brethren to minister continually before the Arke, that which was to be done euery day:
16:38	And Obed Edom and his brethren, three score and eight: and Obed Edom the sonne of Ieduthun, and Hosah were porters.
16:39	And Zadok the Priest and his brethren the Priestes were before the Tabernacle of ye Lord, in the hie place that was at Gibeon,
16:40	To offer burnt offrings vnto the Lord, vpon the burnt offring altar continually, in the morning and in the euening, euen according vnto all that is written in the law of the Lord, which hee commanded Israel.
16:41	And with them were Heman, and Ieduthun, and the rest that were chosen (which were appointed by names) to praise the Lord, because his mercie endureth for euer.
16:42	Euen with them were Heman and Ioduthun, to make a sound with the cornets and with the cymbales, with excellent instruments of musicke: and the sonnes of Ieduthun were at the gate.
16:43	And all the people departed, euerie man to his house: and Dauid returned to blesse his house.


16:1	So they brought in the arcke of God and set it in the myddes of the tent that Dauid pytched for it. And they offered burnt sacrifyces and peace offerynges before God.
16:2	And when Dauid had made an ende of offerynge the burnt offerynges and peace offerynges, he blessed the people in the name of the Lorde.
16:3	And he dealt to all Israel (both man & woman) a cracknell of breade, and a good pece of flesshe, and a flacket of wyne.
16:4	And he appoynted certen of the Leuites to ministre before the Lorde, & to repete, & to thanke and prayse the Lorde God of Israel.
16:5	And Asaph was the chefe, & next to hym Zacharia, Ieiel, Semiramoth, Iehiel, Mathathia, Eliab, Benaia, Obed Edom, & Ieiel with psalteries & harpes. But Asaph made a sounde with symbales.
16:6	Banaiahu & Iahaziel preastes blewe wt trompettes continuallye before the Arcke of the couenaunt of God.
16:7	And that same tyme Dauid did appoynte chefelye to thanke the Lorde, by Asaph & his brethren.
16:8	O geue thankes vnto the Lorde, call vpon hys name, make hys actes knowen amonge the people.
16:9	Synge vnto him & playe vnto him: talke of all hys wonderfull dedes.
16:10	Reioyce in hys holy name: let the hertes of them that seke the Lorde, be glad.
16:11	Seke the Lorde and hys strengthe: Seke hys presence allwaye.
16:12	Remembre his maruelles which he dyd, and hys wonders, & the iudgementes of hys mouth.
16:13	The seed of Israel are hys seruauntes: the chyldren of Iacob are hys chosen.
16:14	He is the Lorde oure God: in all landes are hys iudgementes.
16:15	Thynke on hys appoyntment for euer, (and on the worde which he commaunded to a thousande generacions.)
16:16	Which he made with Abraham, and of hys othe to Isahac:
16:17	which he set before Iacob for a decree, and to Israel for an euerlastynge couenaunt,
16:18	sayinge: to the wyll I geue the lande of Canaan to be the porcyon of youre enheritaunce.
16:19	When you were fewe and smalle in nombre, and sogeourners therin.
16:20	And they walked from nacyon to nacyon, and from one kyngdome to another people.
16:21	He suffered no man to do them wronge: but rebuked, euen kynges for theyr sakes.
16:22	Touche not myne anoynted, and do my prophetes no harme.
16:23	Synge vnto the Lorde all the erthe: and shewe from daye to daye hys Saluacyon.
16:24	Tell of hys glorye amonge the heithen: his wonderfull dedes amonge all nacyons.
16:25	For greate is the Lorde, and worthy to be praysed exceadyngly: he is to be feared aboue all Gods.
16:26	For all the Gods of the people are of no value: But the Lorde made heauen.
16:27	Prayse and honoure are in hys presence: strength and gladnes are in hys place.
16:28	Asscrybe vnto the Lorde ye kynredes of people, Asscrybe to the Lorde, glorye and domynion.
16:29	Asscrybe vnto the Lorde, the glorye due vnto hys name: brynge sacrifyces, and come before hym, and worshyppe the Lorde with holy honoure.
16:30	Let all the erth feare hym, all though the compase of the erth be so stablysshed that it cannot be moued:
16:31	let the heauens reioyse, and let the erth be glad, and lett men tell among the nacyons, that the Lorde is kynge.
16:32	Let the see thunder and the fulnesse therof lett the feldes reioyse, and all that is therin.
16:33	Then shall the trees of the wood reioyse at the presence of the Lorde, because he commeth to iudge the erth.
16:34	O geue thankes vnto the Lorde, for he is good, for hys mercye endureth euer:
16:35	and saye ye: saue vs (o God) of oure saluacion, geather vs to gether, and delyuer vs from amonge the hethen, that we maye geue thankes to thy holy name, & triumphe in the prayse of the.
16:36	Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for euer & euer, and let all people saye Amen, and prayse the Lorde.
16:37	And so, he lefte there before the arcke of the Lordes couenaunt, Asaph & hys brethren, to ministre before the Arcke continually, in soch thynges as were to be done daye by daye,
16:38	And Obed Edom & hys brethren, threskore and eyght, and Obed Edom the sonne of Iedithun, and Hosa were apoynted to be porters.
16:39	And Zadock the preast and hys brethren the preastes, were before the tabernacle of the Lorde, in the hye place that was at Gibeon,
16:40	to offer burntofferynges vnto the Lorde, vpon the burntoffering aultare perpetuallye, in the mornyng and euenyng, accordyng to all that which is written in the lawe of the Lorde, which he commaunded Israel.
16:41	And with them were Heman & Ieduthun, & other that were chosen (whose names were expressed) to geue thankes to the Lorde, that his mercye lasteth euer.
16:42	And with them dyd Heman and Ieduthun, synge with the trompettes & symbales makynge a swete melody with instrumentes of Musycke and godly songes. And the sonnes of Ieduthun were porters.
16:43	And all the people departed, euery man to hys house: and Dauid returned to blesse hys house.
