9:1And when the Queene of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, shee came to prooue Solomon with hard questions at Ierusalem, with a very great companie, and camels that bare spices, and golde in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, shee communed with him of all that was in her heart.
9:2And Solomon tolde her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon, which he told her not.
9:3And when the Queene of Sheba had seene the wisedome of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
9:4And the meate of his table, and the sitting of his seruants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparell, his cup-bearers also, and their apparell, and his ascent, by which hee went vp into the house of the Lord; there was no more spirit in her.
9:5And she said to the King, It was a true report which I heard in mine owne land, of thine actes, and of thy wisedome:
9:6Howbeit, I beleeued not their wordes, vntill I came, and mine eyes had seene it: and behold, the one halfe of the greatnesse of thy wisedome was not tolde mee: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
9:7Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy seruants, which stand continually before thee, and heare thy wisedome.
9:8Blessed be the Lord thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be King for the Lord thy God: because thy God loued Israel, to establish them for euer, therefore made hee thee King ouer them, to doe iudgement and iustice.
9:9And she gaue the king an hundred and twentie talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, & precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the Queene of Sheba gaue King Solomon.
9:10And the seruants also of Huram, and the seruants of Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought Algume trees and, precious stones.
9:11And the king made of the Algume trees, terrises to the house of the Lord, and to the kings palace, and harpes and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seene before in the laud of Iudah.
9:12And King Solomon gaue to the Queene of Sheba, all her desire, whatsoeuer she asked, besides that which she had brought vnto the king: So she turned, and went away to her owne land, she, and her seruants.
9:13Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one yeere, was sixe hundred and threescore and sixe talents of gold:
9:14Besides that which chapmen and merchants brought: and all the kings of Arabia, and gouernours of the countrie, brought gold and siluer to Solomon.
9:15And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: sixe hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one target.
9:16And three hundred shields made he of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forrest of Lebanon.
9:17Moreouer the king made a great throne of yuorie, and ouerlaid it with pure gold.
9:18And there were sixe steps to the throne, with a footstoole of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stayes on each side of the sitting place, and two lyons standing by the stayes.
9:19And twelue lyons stood there on the one side and on the other, vpon the sixe steps. There was not the like made in any kingdome.
9:20And all the drinking vessels of King Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forrest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of siluer; it was not any thing accounted of in the dayes of Solomon.
9:21For the kings ships went to Tarshish with the seruants of Huram: euerie three yeeres once came the ships of Tarshish bringing golde, and siluer, yuorie, and apes, and peacocks.
9:22And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisedome.
9:23And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to heare his wisedome, that God had put in his heart.
9:24And they brought euery man his present, vessels of siluer, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harnesse, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate yeere by yeere.
9:25And Solomon had foure thousand stalles for horses, and charets, and twelue thousand horsemen, whom hee bestowed in the charet cities, and with the king at Ierusalem.
9:26And hee reigned ouer all the kings, from the riuer, euen vnto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
9:27And the king made siluer in Ierusalem as stones, and cedar trees made he as the Sycomore trees, that are in the low plaines, in abundance.
9:28And they brought vnto Solomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all lands.
9:29Now the rest of the actes of Solomon first and last, are they not written in the booke of Nathan the Prophet, and in the prophesie of Ahiiah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the Seer, against Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat?
9:30And Solomon reigned in Ierusalem ouer all Israel, fourtie yeeres.
9:31And Solomon slept with his fathers, and hee was buried in the citie of Dauid his father, and Rehoboam his sonne reigned in his stead.

9:2And Salomon declared her all her questions, and there was nothing hid from Salomon, which he declared not vnto her.
9:3Then the Queene of Sheba sawe the wisedome of Salomon, and the house that he had buylt,
9:4And the meate of his table, and the sitting of his seruants, and the order of his wayters, and their apparel, and his butlers, and their apparel, and his burnt offrings which he offred in the house of the Lord, and she was greatly astonied.
9:5And she saide to the King, It was a true worde which I heard in mine owne lande of thy sayings, and of thy wisedome:
9:6Howbeit I beleeued not their report, vntil I came, and mine eyes had seene it: and beholde, the one halfe of thy great wisedom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
9:7Happie are thy men, and happie are these thy seruants, which stande before thee alway, and heare thy wisedome.
9:8Blessed be the Lord thy God, which loued thee, to set thee on his throne as King, in the steade of the Lord thy God: because thy God loueth Israel, to establish it for euer, therefore hath he made thee King ouer them, to execute iudgement and iustice.
9:9Then she gaue the King sixe score talents of golde, and of sweete odours exceeding much and precious stones: neither was there such sweete odours since, as the Queene of Sheba gaue vnto King Salomon.
9:10And the seruants also of Huram, and the seruants of Salomon which brought golde from Ophir, brought Algummim wood and precious stones.
9:11And the King made of the Algummim wood staires in the house of the Lord, and in the Kings house, and harpes and violes for singers: and there was no such seene before in the lande of Iudah.
9:12And King Salomon gaue to the Queene of Sheba euery pleasant thing that she asked, besides for that which she had brought vnto the King: so she returned and went to her owne countrey, both she, and her seruants.
9:13Also the weight of golde that came to Salomon in one yeere, was sixe hundreth three score and sixe talents of golde,
9:14Besides that which chapmen and marchants brought: and all the Kings of Arabia, and the princes of the countrey brought golde and siluer to Salomon.
9:15And King Salomon made two hundreth targets of beaten golde, and sixe hundreth shekels of beaten golde went to one target,
9:16And three hundreth shieldes of beaten golde: three hundreth shekels of golde went to one shielde, and the King put them in the house of the wood of Lebanon.
9:17And the King made a great throne of yuorie and ouerlaid it with pure golde.
9:18And the throne had sixe steppes, with a footestoole of gold fastened to the throne, and stayes on either side on the place of the seate, and two lyons standing by the stayes.
9:19And twelue lyons stoode there on the sixe steps on either side: there was not the like made in any kingdome.
9:20And all King Salomons drinking vessels were of golde, and all the vessels of the house of the wood of Lebanon were of pure gold: for siluer was nothing esteemed in ye dayes of Salomon.
9:21For the Kings ships went to Tarshish with the seruants of Huram, euery three yeere once came the ships of Tarshish, and brought golde, and siluer, yuorie, and apes, and peacockes.
9:22So King Salomon excelled all the Kings of the earth in riches and wisedome.
9:23And all the Kings of the earth sought the presence of Salomon, to heare his wisedome that God had put in his heart.
9:24And they brought euery man his present, vessels of siluer, and vessels of golde, and raiment, armour, and sweet odours, horses, and mules, from yeere to yeere.
9:25And Salomon had foure thousand stalles of horses, and charets, and twelue thousand horsmen, whom he bestowed in the charet cities, and with the King at Ierusalem.
9:26And he reigned ouer all the Kings from the Riuer euen vnto the land of the Philistims, and to the border of Egypt.
9:27And the King gaue siluer in Ierusalem, as stones, and gaue cedar trees as the wilde fig trees, that are aboundant in the plaine.
9:28And they brought vnto Salomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all landes.
9:29Concerning the rest of the actes of Salomon first and last, are they not written in the booke of Nathan the Prophet, and in the prophecie of Ahiiah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Ieedo the Seer against Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat?
9:30And Salomon reigned in Ierusalem ouer all Israel fourtie yeeres.
9:31And Salomon slept with his fathers, and they buryed him in the citie of Dauid his father: and Rehoboam his sonne reigned in his steade.

 

9:1And whan the quene of Saba hearde of the fame of Salomon, she came to proue hym in harde questions at Ierusalem, with a very great company, with camelles that bare spices & plentye of golde and precyouse stones. And when she was come to Salomon, she commoned with hym of all that she had in her herte.
9:2And Salomon foyled her, all her questions, and there was not one worde hyd from Salomon, whych he tolde her not.
9:3And when the quene of Saba had sene the wysdome of Salomon and the house that he had buylte,
9:4and the meate of hys table, the syttynge of his seruauntes, and the standing of his wayters, theyr apparell, hys buttelars, theyr apparell, hys goynge vp, by the whych he went into the house of the Lorde, ther was nomore sprete in her.
9:5And she sayde to the kynge: the sayenge which I heard in myne awne lande, of thyne actes, and of thy wysdome, is true.
9:6I beleued not the wordes of them, vntyll I came, & myne eyes had sene it. And beholde, the one halfe of thy wysdome was not tolde me: for thou exceadest the fame that I hearde.
9:7Happye are thy men, and happy are these thy seruauntes which stande before the alwaye, & heare thy wysedome.
9:8Blessed be the Lorde thy God, which had lust to the, to set the kynge on his seat, that thou myghtest be kyng, ordeyned by the Lorde thy God. Because thy God loueth Israell, and hath delyte to make them contynue euer, therfore made he the kynge ouer them to do ryght and equyte.
9:9And she gaue the kyng an hundred & .xx. talentes of golde, and of spyces exceadynge great abundaunce and preciouse stones, nether was there any more soche spyce, as the quene of Saba gaue kyng Salomon.
9:10And the seruauntes of Hiram and the seruauntes of Salomon which brought golde from Ophir, brought also Algume wood and preciouse stones.
9:11And the kyng made of the Algume wood, steyres in the house of the Lorde and in the kynges palace, and harpes and psalteries for syngers. And there was no soch wood sene before in the lande of Iuda.
9:12And kynge Salomon gaue to the quene of Saba euery pleasaunt thing that she asked but not so moche as she brought vnto the kyng. And so she turned and went awaye to her awne lande with her seruauntes.
9:13The weyght of golde that came to Salomon in one yere, was syxe hundred .lxvi. talentes of golde,
9:14besydes that which chapmen and marchauntes brought: and all the kynges of Arabia and rulers of that countrey, brought gold and syluer to Salomon.
9:15And kynge Salomon made two hundred bucklers of beaten golde, and .vi. hundred sycles of beaten gold were spent vpon one bucklar:
9:16and thre hundred shyldes made he of beaten gold, and one shylde cost thre hundred peces of golde, and the king put them in the house that was in the forest of Libanon.
9:17And the kynge made a great seat of Iuorie, & ouerlayde it with pure golde.
9:18Another were syxe steppes to the seate wyth a fote stole of golde fastened to the seate: and pomelles on eche syde of the syttynge place,
9:19and two lyons standynge by the pomelles. And .xii. lyons stode on the one syde and on the other: vpon the syxe steppes, so that there was no soche worke made in any kyngdome.
9:20And all the drynckinge vesselles of kyng Salomon were of golde, and all the vessels of the house that was in the forest of Libanon, were of precious golde: for syluer was counted nothynge worthe in the dayes of Salomon.
9:21For the kynges shyppes wente to Tharsis wyth the seruauntes of Hiram: euery thre yeare once came the shyppes to Tharsis, and brought golde, syluer, Iuorie and apes and pecockes.
9:22And kyng Salomon passed all the kynges of the earth in rychesse and wysedome.
9:23And all the kynges of the earth sought the presence of Salomon, to heare his wysdome that God had put in hys herte:
9:24And they brought euery man his present: vesselles of syluer, and vesselles of golde, rayment, harnesse spyces, horses and mules, and whatsoeuer myght be gotten, yeare by yeare.
9:25And Salomon had foure thousande stalles for horses and charettes, & twelue thousande horsemen, whom he bestowed in the charet cyties, & some were with the kyng at Ierusalem.
9:26And he raygned ouer all the kynges that were from Euphrates vnto the lande of the Philistines, and to the border of Egipt.
9:27And the kynge made syluer in Ierusalem as plenteous as stones, and Cedar trees as plenteous, as the mulbery trees that growe in the valleyes.
9:28And they brought vnto Salomon horses out of Egypt, & out of al landes.
9:29The rest of the actes of kyng Salomon, fyrst and last, are they not written in the sayenges of Nathan the Prophete, and in the prophesye of Ahiah the Silonite, and in the visions of Iedo the sear of visions, agaynst Ieroboam the sonne of Nabat?
9:30And Salomon raygned in Ierusalem vpon all Israel fourtye yeares.
9:31And Salomon slepte wyth hys fathers, and they buryed hym in the cytie of Dauid his father, and Rehoboam his sonne raygned in his steade.
