Psalms - Chapter: 19

>
19:1To the chaunter, a psalme of Dauid. The heauens declare the glory of God, and the firmament sheweth his handy worcke.
19:2One daye telleth another: & one nyght certifieth another.
19:3There is nether speach ner language, but their voices ar heard among them.
19:4Their sounde is gone out into all landes: & their wordes into the endes of the worlde.
19:5In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sunne, which commeth forth as a brydgrome out of hys chambre, and reioyseth as a giaunt to runne his course.
19:6It goeth forth from the vttmost parte of the heauen, and runneth about vnto the ende of it agayne, & there is nothynge hyd from the heate therof.
19:7The lawe of the Lord is an vndefylled lawe conuerting the soule. The testimony of the Lorde is sure, and geueth wisdome vnto the symple.
19:8The statutes of the Lorde are right and reioyse the hert, the commaundement of the Lorde is pure, and geueth light vnto the eyes.
19:9The feare of the Lorde is cleane, and endureth for euer: the iudgementes of the Lorde are true and ryghteous all together.
19:10More to be desyred are they then golde, yee then moche fyne golde: sweter also then hony, and the hony combe.
19:11Moreouer, by them is thy seruaunt taught, & in kepynge of them there is greate rewarde.
19:12Who can tell, howe oft he offendeth? Oh clense thou me fro secrete fautes.
19:13Kepe thy seruaunt also from presumptuous synnes, lest they get the dominion ouer me: so shall I be vndefyled, & innocent from the greate offence.
19:14Let the wordes of my mouth, and the meditacion of my herte be acceptable in thy syght O Lorde, my strength annd my redemer.

 

19:1The title of the nyntenthe salm. To victorie, the salm of Dauid.
19:2The Lord here thee in the dai of tribulacioun; the name of God of Jacob defende thee.
19:3Sende he helpe to thee fro the hooli place; and fro Syon defende he thee.
19:4Be he myndeful of al thi sacrifice; and thi brent sacrifice be maad fat.
19:5Yyue he to thee aftir thin herte; and conferme he al thi counsel.
19:6We schulen be glad in thin helthe; and we schulen be magnyfied in the name of oure God.
19:7The Lord fille alle thin axyngis; nowe Y haue knowe, that the Lord hath maad saaf his crist. He schal here hym fro his hooly heuene; the helthe of his riyt hond is in poweris.
19:8Thes in charis, and these in horsis; but we schulen inwardli clepe in the name of oure Lord God.
19:9Thei ben boundun, and felden doun; but we han rise, and ben reisid.
19:10Lord, make thou saaf the kyng; and here thou vs in the dai in which we inwardli clepen thee.

19:5In the hath he sett a tabernacle for ye Sone, which cometh forth as a brydegrome out of his chambre, & reioyseth as a giaunte to rune his course.
19:6It goeth forth fro the one ende of the heauen, and runneth aboute vnto the same ende agayne, & there maye no ma hyde himself fro the heate therof.
19:7The lawe of the LORDE is a perfecte lawe, it quickeneth the soule. The testimony of ye LORDE is true, & geueth wisdome euen vnto babes.
19:8The statutes of the LORDE are right, & reioyse the herte: ye comaundemet of ye LORDE is pure, and geueth light vnto the eyes.
19:9The feare of the LORDE is cleane, & endureth for euer: the iudgmentes of the LORDE are true and rigtuous alltogether.
19:10More pleasunt are they then golde, yee then moch fyne golde: sweter then hony & the hony combe.
19:11These thy seruaunt kepeth, & for kepinge of them there is greate rewarde.
19:12Who can tell, how oft he offendeth? Oh clese thou me fro my secrete fautes.
19:13Kepe thy seruaute also from presumptuous synnes, lest they get the dominion ouer me: so shal I be vndefyled & innocet fro the greate offence.
19:14Yee the wordes of my mouth & the meditacio of my herte shalbe acceptable vnto the, o LORDE, my helper and my redemer.
