Psalms - Chapter: 54

54:1[To the chiefe musician on Neginoth, Maschil, A Psalme of Dauid. When the Ziphims came and sayde to Saul: doeth not Dauid hide himselfe with vs?] Saue me, O God, by thy name, and iudge me by thy strength.
54:2Heare my prayer, O God; giue eare to the words of my mouth.
54:3For strangers are risen vp against me, and oppressors seeke after my soule; they haue not set God before them. Selah.
54:4Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that vphold my soule.
54:5He shall reward euill vnto mine enemies: cut them off in thy trueth.
54:6I will freely sacrifice vnto thee; I will praise thy name (O Lord:) for it is good.
54:7For hee hath deliuered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seene his desire vpon mine enemies.

 

54:1To him that excelleth on Neginoth. A Psalme of David, to give instruction. When the Ziphims came and said unto Saul, Is not David hid among us? Save mee, O God, by thy Name, and by thy power iudge me.
54:2O God, heare my prayer: hearken vnto the wordes of my mouth.
54:3For strangers are risen vp against me, and tyrants seeke my soule: they haue not set God before them. Selah.
54:4Beholde, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that vpholde my soule.
54:5He shall rewarde euill vnto mine enemies: Oh cut them off in thy trueth!
54:6Then I will sacrifice freely vnto thee: I wil praise thy Name, O Lord, because it is good.
54:7For he hath deliuered me out of al trouble, and mine eye hath seene my desire vpon mine enemies.

 

54:1To the chaunter in melodyes, an instruccyon of Dauid, when the Zephites came and sayde vnto Saull: Hath not Dauid hyd hym selfe amongest vs? Saue me, O God, for thy names sake, and auenge me in thy strength
54:2Heare my prayer, O God, & herken vnto the wordes of my mouth.
54:3For straungers are rysen vp against me, and tyrauntes (whych haue not God before their eyes) seke after my soule. Sela.
54:4Beholde, God is my helper, the Lorde is with them that vpholde my soule.
54:5He shall rewarde euell vnto myne enemyes: destroye thou them in thy treuth.
54:6An offeryng of a fre hert will I geue the, and prayse thy name (O Lord) because it is so comfortable.
54:7For he hath delyuered me out of all my trouble, and myne eye hat sene his desyre vpon myne enemyes.
