| 54:2 | Heare my prayer, O God, & herken vnto the wordes of my mouth. |
| 54:3 | For straungers are rysen vp against me, and tyrauntes (whych haue not God before their eyes) seke after my soule. Sela. |
| 54:4 | Beholde, God is my helper, the Lorde is with them that vpholde my soule. |
| 54:5 | He shall rewarde euell vnto myne enemyes: destroye thou them in thy treuth. |
| 54:6 | An offeryng of a fre hert will I geue the, and prayse thy name (O Lord) because it is so comfortable. |

| 54:5 | Myn herte was disturblid in me; and the drede of deth felde on me. |
| 54:6 | Drede and trembling camen on me; and derknessis hiliden me. |
| 54:7 | And Y seide, Who schal yyue to me fetheris, as of a culuer; and Y schal fle, and schal take rest? |
