| 72:1 | For Salomon. Geue the kynge thy iudgementes (O God) and thy righteousnesse vnto the kynges sonne. |
| 72:2 | Then shall he iudge thy people accordinge vnto right, and defende the poore. |
| 72:3 | The mountaynes also shall brynge peace, and the lytle hilles righteousnesse vnto the people. |
| 72:4 | He shall kepe the symple folke by their ryght, defende the chyldren of the poore, and punish the wronge doer. |
| 72:5 | They shall feare the as long as the sonne and mone endureth, from one generacion to another. |
| 72:6 | He shall come downe like the rayne into a flese of wolle, euen as the droppes that water the earth. |
| 72:7 | In his tyme shall the ryghteous florish, yee, and aboundaunce of peace, so longe as the mone endureth, |

| 72:11 | All kinges shal fall downe before him: all nacions shall do him seruice. |
| 72:12 | For he shall delyuer the poore when he cryeth: the neady also and him that hath no helper. |
| 72:13 | He shalbe fauorable to the simple and neady: and shall preserue the soules of the poore. |
| 72:14 | He shall delyuer their soules from falshede and wronge, and deare shall theyr bloud be in his syght. |
| 72:15 | He shall lyue, & vnto him shalbe geuen of the golde of Arabia: Prayer shalbe made euer vnto him, and daylie shall he be praysed. |
| 72:16 | There shalbe an heape of corne in the earth hye vpon the hylles, his frute shall shake lyke Libanus, and shalbe grene in the cite, like grasse vpon the earth. |
| 72:17 | His name shall endure for euer, his name shall remayne vnder the sunne amonge the posterites, which shalbe blessed thorow him, and all the Heathen shall prayse him |
| 72:18 | Blessed be the Lorde God, euen the God of Israell which onely doth wonderous thinges. |

| 72:3 | For Y louede feruentli on wickid men; seynge the pees of synneris. |
| 72:4 | For biholdyng is not to the deth of hem; and stidefastnesse in the sikenesse of hem. |
| 72:5 | Thei ben not in the trauel of men; and thei schulen not be betun with men. |
| 72:6 | Therfore pride helde hem; thei weren hilid with her wickidnesse and vnfeithfulnesse. |
| 72:7 | The wickidnesse of hem cam forth as of fatnesse; thei yeden in to desire of herte. |
| 72:8 | Thei thouyten and spaken weiwardnesse; thei spaken wickidnesse an hiy. |
| 72:9 | Thei puttiden her mouth in to heuene; and her tunge passide in erthe. |
| 72:10 | Therfor my puple schal be conuertid here; and fulle daies schulen be foundun in hem. |
| 72:11 | And thei seiden, How woot God; and whether kunnyng is an heiye, `that is, in heuene? |
| 72:12 | Lo! thilke synneris and hauynge aboundance in the world; helden richessis. |
| 72:13 | And Y seide, Therfor without cause Y iustifiede myn herte; and waischide myn hoondis among innocentis. |
| 72:14 | And Y was betun al dai; and my chastisyng was in morutidis. |
| 72:15 | If Y seide, Y schal telle thus; lo! Y repreuede the nacioun of thi sones. |
| 72:16 | I gesside, that Y schulde knowe this; trauel is bifore me. |
| 72:17 | Til Y entre in to the seyntuarie of God; and vndurstonde in the last thingis of hem. |
| 72:18 | Netheles for gilis thou hast put to hem; thou castidist hem doun, while thei weren reisid. |
| 72:19 | Hou ben thei maad into desolacioun; thei failiden sodeynli, thei perischiden for her wickidnesse. |
| 72:20 | As the dreem of men that risen; Lord, thou schalt dryue her ymage to nouyt in thi citee. |
