85:1	To the chaunter, a Psalme of the sonnes of Corab. Lorde, thou art become gracyous vnto thy lande, thou hast turned awaye the captiuite of Iacob.
85:2	Thou hast forgeuen the offence of thy people, and couered all theyr synnes. Selah.
85:3	Thou hast taken awaye all thy displeasure, and turned thy selfe from thy wrathfull indignacyon.
85:4	Turne vs then, O God oure Sauyour, and let thyne anger ceasse from vs.
85:5	Wylt thou be displeased at vs for euer? and wylt thou stretch out thy wrath from one generacyon to another?
85:6	Wylt thou not turne agayne & quycken vs, that thy people maye reioyse in the?
85:7	Shewe vs thy mercy O Lord and graunt vs thy saluacyon.
85:8	I wyll herken what the Lorde God will saye: for he shall speake peace vnto his people and to hys saynctes, that they turne not agayne.
85:9	For his saluacyon is nye them that feare him, that glory maye dwell in oure lande.
85:10	Mercy and trueth are met together, ryghtuousnesse and peace haue kyssed eche other.
85:11	Trueth shall florish out of the earth, & ryghtuousnesse hath loked downe from heauen.
85:12	Yee, the Lorde shall shewe louynge kyndnesse, and oure lande shall geue her encrease.
85:13	Ryghtuousnesse shall go before hym, and he shall directe hys goynge in the waye.


85:1	The `title of the fyue and eiytetithe salm. The preier of Dauid. Lord, bowe doun thin eere, and here me; for Y am nedi and pore.
85:2	Kepe thou my lijf, for Y am holi; my God, make thou saaf thi seruaunt hopynge in thee.
85:3	Lord, haue thou merci on me, for Y criede al day to thee;
85:4	make thou glad the soule of thi seruaunt, for whi, Lord, Y haue reisid my soule to thee.
85:5	For thou, Lord, art swete and mylde; and of myche merci to alle men inwardli clepynge thee.
85:6	Lord, perseyue thou my preier with eeris; and yyue thou tente to the vois of my bisechyng.
85:7	In the dai of my tribulacioun Y criede to thee; for thou herdist me.
85:8	Lord, noon among goddis is lijk thee; and noon is euene to thi werkis.
85:9	Lord, alle folkis, whiche euere thou madist, schulen come, and worschipe bifore thee; and thei schulen glorifie thi name.
85:10	For thou art ful greet, and makinge merueils; thou art God aloone.
85:11	Lord, lede thou me forth in thi weie, and Y schal entre in thi treuthe; myn herte be glad, that it drede thi name.
85:12	Mi Lord God, Y schal knouleche to thee in al myn herte; and Y schal glorifie thi name withouten ende.
85:13	For thi merci is greet on me; and thou deliueridist my soule fro the lower helle.


85:1	Lorde, thou barest a loue vnto thy londe, thou didest bringe agayne the captiuyte of Iacob.
85:2	Thou diddest forgeue the offence of thy people, and couerdest all their synnes.
85:3	Sela. Thou tokest awaye all thy displeasure, & turnedest thy self from thy wrothful indignacion.
85:4	Turne vs then (o God or Sauioure) & let thine anger ceasse from vs.
85:5	Wilt thou be displeased at vs for euer? wilt thou stretch out thy wrath from one generacion to another?
85:6	Wilt thou not turne agayne, & quycken vs, that thy people maye reioyse in the?
85:7	Shew us thy mercy, O Lord : and grant vs thy salvation.
85:8	I wil herken what the LORDE God wil saie, for he shal speake peace vnto his people and to his sayntes, that they turne not them selues vnto foolishnes.
85:9	For his saluacion is nye them that feare him, so that glory shal dwell in oure londe.
85:10	Mercy and trueth are met together, rightuousnesse and peace kysse ech other.
85:11	Trueth shal ryse out of ye earth, and rightuousnesse shall loke downe from heauen.
85:12	And why? the LORDE shal shewe louinge kyndnesse, and oure londe shal geue hir encrease.
85:13	Rightuousnesse shal go before him, and prepare the waye for his commynge.
