138:1	The `title of the hundrid and eiyte and thrittithe salm. `To victorie, the salm of Dauith. Lord, thou hast preued me, and hast knowe me;
138:2	thou hast knowe my sitting, and my rising ayen.
138:3	Thou hast vndirstonde my thouytis fro fer; thou hast enquerid my path and my corde.
138:4	And thou hast bifor seien alle my weies; for no word is in my tunge.
138:5	Lo! Lord, thou hast knowe alle thingis, the laste thingis and elde; thou hast formed me, and hast set thin hond on me.
138:6	Thi kunnyng is maad wondirful of me; it is coumfortid, and Y schal not mowe to it.
138:7	Whidir schal Y go fro thi spirit; and whider schal Y fle fro thi face?
138:8	If Y schal stie in to heuene, thou art there; if Y schal go doun to helle, thou art present.


138:1	A Psalme of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: euen before the gods will I praise thee.
138:2	I will worship toward thine holy Temple and praise thy Name, because of thy louing kindenesse and for thy trueth: for thou hast magnified thy Name aboue all things by thy word.
138:3	When I called, then thou heardest me, and hast encreased strength in my soule.
138:4	All the Kings of the earth shall praise thee, O Lord: for they haue heard the wordes of thy mouth.
138:5	And they shall sing of the wayes of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord is great.
138:6	For the Lord is high: yet he beholdeth the lowly, but the proude he knoweth afarre off.
138:7	Though I walke in the middes of trouble, yet wilt thou reuiue me: thou wilt stretch foorth thine hand vpon the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall saue me.
138:8	The Lord will performe his worke toward me: O Lord, thy mercie endureth for euer: forsake not the workes of thine handes.
