10:1Prouerbes of Salomon. A wyse sonne maketh a glad father, but an vndiscrete sonne is an heuynesse vnto hys mother.
10:2Treasures that are wyckedly gotten, profyte nothynge: but ryghteousnesse deliuereth from death.
10:3The Lorde wyll not let the soule of the righteous suffre honger, but he taketh awaye the ryches of the vngodlye:
10:4An ydle hande maketh poore, but a quycke labouringe hande maketh ryche.
10:5Who so gathereth in Sommer, is wyse: but he that is slougysh in haruest, bringeth him selfe to confusyon.
10:6Blessynges are vpon the heade of the ryghteous, and the mouth of the vngodly kepeth myschefe in secrete.
10:7The memoryall of the iust shall haue a good reporte, but the name of the vngodly shall stincke.
10:8A wyse man will receaue warnynge, but a pratinge fole shall be punyshed.
10:9He that leadeth an innocent lyfe, walketh surely: but who so goeth a wronge waye shalbe knowne.
10:10He that wynciteth with his eye, will do some harme: but he that hath a foolyshe mouth, shalbe beaten.
10:11The mouth of a ryghteous man is a well of lyfe, but the mouth of the vngodly kepeth mischefe in secrete.
10:12Euyll wyll stereth vp stryfe, but loue couereth the multitude of synnes.
10:13In the lyppes of him that hath vnderstandynge, a man shall fynde wisdome, but that rod belongeth to the backe of the folyshe.
10:14Wyse men laye vp knowledge, but the mouth of the folyshe is nye destruccion.
10:15The riche mans goodes are his stronge holde, but theire awne pouertye feareth the poore.
10:16The ryghteous laboureth to do good, but the vngodly vseth hys encrease vnto synne.
10:17To take hede vnto the chastenynge of nurtoure, is the waye of lyfe: but he that refuseth to be refourmed disceaueth him selfe.
10:18Dissemblynge lyppes kepe hatred secretely, and he that speaketh any sclaunder, is a foole.
10:19Where moch bablynge is, there must nedes be offence: and he that refrayneth his lyppes, is wyse.
10:20An innocent tonge is a noble treasure, but the herte of the vngodly is nothynge worth.
10:21The lyppes of the ryghteous sede a whole multitude, but foles shall dye in their awne folye.
10:22The blessynge of the Lorde maketh ryche men as for carefull trauayle, it doth nothynge therto.
10:23A fole doth wyckedly and maketh but a sporte of it, but wysdome ruleth the man that hath vnderstandynge.
10:24The thynge that the vngodly are afrayed of, shall come vpon them, but the ryghteous shall haue their desyre.
10:25The vngodly passeth when the tempest commethe: but the ryghtwyse remayneth sure for euer.
10:26As vyneger is to the teth, and as smoke is vnto the eyes, euen so is a slougysh personne to them that sende hym forth.
10:27The feare of the Lorde maketh a longe lyfe, but the yeares of the vngodly shalbe shortened.
10:28The pacient abydinge of the ryghteous shalbe turned to gladnesse, but the hope of the vngodly shall perishe.
10:29The waye of the Lorde geueth a courage vnto the godly, but it is a feare for wycked doers.
10:30The ryghteous shall neuer be ouerthrowne, but the vngodly, shall not remayne in the lande.
10:31The mouth of the iust wylbe talkynge of wysdome, but that the tonge of the frowarde shall peryshe.
10:32The lyppes of the ryghteous are occupyed in acceptable thynges, but the mouth of the vngodly taketh them to the worst.

10:2Tresouris of wickidnesse schulen not profite; but riytfulnesse schal delyuere fro deth.
10:3The Lord schal not turmente the soule of a iust man with hungur; and he schal distrie the tresouns of vnpitouse men.
10:4A slow hond hath wrouyt nedynesse; but the hond of stronge men makith redi richessis. Forsothe he that enforsith to gete `ony thing bi leesyngis, fedith the wyndis; sotheli the same man sueth briddis fleynge.
10:5He that gaderith togidere in heruest, is a wijs sone; but he that slepith in sommer, is a sone of confusioun.
10:6The blessing of God is ouer the heed of a iust man; but wickidnesse hilith the mouth of wickid men.
10:7The mynde of a iust man schal be with preisingis; and the name of wickid men schal wexe rotun.
10:8A wijs man schal resseyue comaundementis with herte; a fool is betun with lippis.
10:9He that goith simpli, goith tristili; but he that makith schrewid hise weies, schal be opyn.
10:10He that bekeneth with the iye, schal yyue sorewe; a fool schal be betun with lippis.
10:11The veyne of lijf is the mouth of a iust man; but the mouth of wickid men hilith wickidnesse.
10:12Hatrede reisith chidingis; and charite hilith alle synnes.
10:13Wisdom is foundun in the lippis of a wise man; and a yerd in the bak of him that is nedi of herte.
10:14Wise men hiden kunnyng; but the mouth of a fool is nexte to confusioun.
10:15The catel of a riche man is the citee of his strengthe; the drede of pore men is the nedynesse of hem.
10:16The werk of a iust man is to lijf; but the fruyt of a wickid man is to synne.
10:17The weie of lijf is to him that kepith chastising; but he that forsakith blamyngis, errith.
10:18False lippis hiden hatrede; he that bringith forth dispisinge is vnwijs.
10:19Synne schal not faile in myche spekyng; but he that mesurith hise lippis, is moost prudent.
10:20Chosun siluer is the tunge of a iust man; the herte of wickid men is for nouyt.
10:21The lippis of a iust man techen ful manye men; but thei that ben vnlerned, schulen die in nedinesse of herte.
10:22The blessing of the Lord makith riche men; and turment schal not be felowschipid to hem.
10:23A fool worchith wickidnesse as bi leiyyng; but `wisdom is prudence to a man.
10:24That that a wickid man dredith, schal come on hym; the desire of iust men schalbe youun to hem.
10:25As a tempeste passynge, a wickid man schal not be; but a iust man schal be as an euerlastynge foundement.
10:26As vynegre noieth the teeth, and smoke noieth the iyen; so a slow man noieth hem that senten hym in the weie.
10:27The drede of the Lord encreesith daies; and the yeeris of wickid men schulen be maad schort.
10:28Abiding of iust men is gladnesse; but the hope of wickid men schal perische.
10:29The strengthe of a symple man is the weie of the Lord; and drede to hem that worchen yuel.
10:30A iust man schal not be moued with outen ende; but wickid men schulen not dwelle on the erthe.
10:31The mouth of a iust man schal bringe forth wisdom; the tunge of schrewis schal perische.
10:32The lippis of a iust man biholden pleasaunt thingis; and the mouth of wickid men byholdith weiward thingis.

10:8A wyse man wil receaue warnynge, but a foole wil sooner be smytten in the face.
10:9He that leadeth an innocent life, walketh surely: but who so goeth a wroge waye, shalbe knowne.
10:10He yt wynketh with his eye, wil do some harme: but he that hath a foolish mouth, shalbe beaten.
10:11The mouth of a rightuous man is a well of life, but ye mouth of the vngodly is past shame, & presumptuous.
10:12Euell will stereth vp strife, but loue couereth ye multitude of synnes.
10:13In ye lippes of him yt hath vnderstodinge a ma shal fynde wysdome, but ye rodde belogeth to ye backe of ye foolish.
10:14Wyse me laye vp knowlege, but ye mouth of ye foolish is nye destruccio.
10:15The rich mas goodes are his stroge holde, but pouerte oppresseth the poore.

10:24The thinge that the vngodly are afrayed of, shal come vpon them, but the rightuous shal haue their desyre.
10:25The vngodly is like a tempest that passeth ouer & is nomore sene, but the rightuous remayneth sure for euer.
10:26As vyneger is to the teth, and as smoke is vnto ye eyes, eue so is a slogish personne to them that sende him forth.
10:27The feare of ye LORDE maketh a loge life, but ye yeares of ye vngodly shal be shortened.
10:28The pacient abydinge of the rightuous shalbe turned to gladnesse, but the hope of the vngodly shal perish.
10:29The waye of the LORDE geueth a corage vnto ye godly, but it is a feare for wicked doers.
10:30The rightuous shal neuer be ouerthrowne, but ye vngodly shal not remayne in the londe.
10:31The mouth of the iust wilbe talkynge of wysdome, but the tonge of the frowarde shal perish.
10:32The lippes of the rightuous are occupied in acceptable thinges, but the mouth of the vngodly taketh them to the worst.
