| 7:1 | Iudge not, that ye be not iudged. |
| 7:2 | For with what iudgment ye iudge, yee shall be iudged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you againe. |
| 7:3 | And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but considerest not the beame that is in thine owne eye? |
| 7:4 | Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let mee pull out the mote out of thine eye, and beholde, a beame is in thine owne eye? |
| 7:5 | Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beame out of thine owne eye: and then shalt thou see clearely to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye. |
| 7:6 | Giue not that which is holy vnto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearles before swine: lest they trample them vnder their feete, and turne againe and rent you. |
| 7:7 | Aske, and it shalbe giuen you: seeke, and ye shall finde: knocke, and it shalbe opened vnto you. |
| 7:8 | For euery one that asketh, receiueth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shalbe opened. |
| 7:9 | Or what man is there of you, whom if his sonne aske bread, will hee giue him a stone? |
| 7:10 | Or if he aske a fish, will hee giue him a serpent? |
| 7:11 | If ye then being euill, know how to giue good giftes vnto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heauen, giue good things to them that aske him? |
| 7:12 | Therefore all things whatsoeuer ye would that men should doe to you, doe ye euen so to them: for this is the Law and the Prophets. |
| 7:13 | Enter ye in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which goe in thereat: |
| 7:14 | Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way which leadeth vnto life, and few there be that finde it. |
| 7:15 | Beware of false prophets which come to you in sheepes clothing, but inwardly they are rauening wolues. |
| 7:16 | Yee shall knowe them by their fruits: Doe men gather grapes of thornes, or figges of thistles? |
| 7:17 | Euen so, euery good tree bringeth forth good fruit: but a corrupt tree bringeth forth euill fruit. |
| 7:18 | A good tree cannot bring forth euil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. |
| 7:19 | Euery tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewen downe, and cast into the fire. |
| 7:20 | Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. |
| 7:21 | Not euery one that saith vnto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdome of heauen: but he that doth the will of my father which is in heauen. |
| 7:22 | Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, haue we not prophecied in thy name? and in thy name haue cast out deuils? and in thy name done many wonderfull works? |
| 7:23 | And then wil I professe vnto them, I neuer knew you: Depart from me, ye that worke iniquity. |
| 7:24 | Therefore, whosoeuer heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I wil liken him vnto a wise man, which built his house vpon a rocke: |
| 7:25 | And the raine descended, and the floods came, and the windes blew, and beat vpon that house: and it fell not, for it was founded vpon a rocke. |
| 7:26 | And euery one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall bee likened vnto a foolish man, which built his house vpon the sand: |
| 7:27 | And the raine descended, and the floods came, and the windes blew, and beat vpon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it. |
| 7:28 | And it came to passe, when Iesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine. |
| 7:29 | For he taught them as one hauing authoritie, and not as the Scribes. |

| 7:5 | Ypocryte, fyrst cast out the beame out of thyne awne eye, and then shalt thou se clearly, to plucke out the moate out of thy brothers eye. |
| 7:6 | Geue not that which is holy, to dogges: nether cast ye youre pearles before swyne, lest they treade them vnder their fete, & the other turne agayne and all to rente you. |
| 7:7 | Axe, and it shalbe geuen you: Seke, and ye shall fynde: knocke, and it shalbe opened vnto you. |
| 7:8 | For whosoeuer axeth, receaueth: and he that seketh, fyndeth: and to hym yt knocketh, it shal opened. |
| 7:9 | Ys there eny man amonge you, which yf his sonne axed hym bred, wolde offer him a stone? |
| 7:10 | Or yf he axed fysshe, wolde he proffer hym a serpent? |
| 7:11 | yf ye then which are euell, can geue youre chyldren good gyftes: how moche more shall youre father which is in heauen, geue good thynges to them that axe hym? |
| 7:12 | Therfore what soeuer ye wolde that me shulde do to you, eue so do ye to them. This ys the lawe and the Prophetes. |
| 7:13 | Enter in at the strayte gate: for wyde is the gate, and broade is the waye, that leadeth to destruccion: & many there be, which go in therat. |
| 7:14 | But strayte is the gate, and narowe ys the waye, which leadeth vnto lyfe, and fewe there be that fynde it. |
| 7:15 | Beware of false Prophetes, which come to you in shepes clothinge, but inwardly they are rauenynge wolues, |
| 7:16 | Ye shall knowe them by their frutes. Do men gather grapes of thornes? or figges of thistles? |

| 7:18 | A good tree can not bryng forth bad frute: nother can a rotten tre bringe forth good frute. |

| 7:20 | Wherfore by their frutes ye shall knowe them. |
| 7:21 | Not all they that saye vnto me, LORDE LORDE, shall enter in to the kyngdome of heauen: but he that doth the will of my father which ys in heauen. |
| 7:22 | Many shall saye to me in that daye: LORDE, LORDE: haue we not prophecied in thy name? Haue we not cast out deuyls in thy name? Haue we not done many greate dedes in thy name? |
| 7:23 | And then will I knowlege vnto them: I neuer knewe you, Departe fro me, ye workers of iniquite. |
| 7:24 | Whosoeuer therfore heareth of me these sayinges, and doeth the same, I wyll lycke hym vnto a wyse man, which buylt hys house vpon a rocke: |
| 7:25 | Now whan abundaunce of rayne descended, and the wyndes blewe and bet vpon that same house, it fel not, because it was grounded on the rocke. |
| 7:26 | And who soeuer heareth of me these sayinges, & doth the not, shalbe lyckened vnto a folysh ma, which buylt his housse apon the sonde: |
| 7:27 | Now whan abudaunce of rayne desceded, & the wyndes blewe, & bet vpon yt housse, it fell, and great was the fall of it. |
| 7:28 | And it came to passe, that when Iesus had ended these saynges, the people were astonnyed at hys doctryne. |
| 7:29 | For he taught them as one hauynge power, and not as the Scribes. |

| 7:2 | ye schulen be demed, and in what mesure ye meten, it schal be meten ayen to you. |
| 7:3 | But what seest thou a litil mote in the iye of thi brother, and seest not a beem in thin owne iye? |
| 7:4 | Or hou seist thou to thi brothir, Brothir, suffre I schal do out a mote fro thin iye, and lo! a beem is in thin owne iye? |
| 7:5 | Ipocrite, `do thou out first the beem of thin iye, and thanne thou schalt se to do out the mote of the iye of thi brothir. |
| 7:6 | Nile ye yyue hooli thing to houndis, nethir caste ye youre margaritis bifore swyne, lest perauenture thei defoulen hem with her feet, and the houndis be turned, and al to-tere you. |
| 7:7 | Axe ye, and it schal be youun to you; seke ye, and ye schulen fynde; knocke ye, and it schal be openyd to you. |
| 7:8 | For ech that axith, takith; and he that sekith, fyndith; and it schal be openyd to hym, that knockith. |
| 7:9 | What man of you is, that if his sone axe hym breed, whethir he wole take hym a stoon? |
| 7:10 | Or if he axe fische, whether he wole take hym an edder? |
| 7:11 | Therfor if ye, whanne ye ben yuele men, kunnen yyue good yiftis to youre sones, hou myche more youre fadir that is in heuenes schal yyue good thingis to men that axen hym? |
| 7:12 | Therfor alle thingis, what euere thingis ye wolen that men do to you, do ye to hem, for this is the lawe and the prophetis. |
| 7:13 | Entre ye bi the streyt yate; for the yate that ledith to perdicioun is large, and the weie is broode, and there ben many that entren bi it. |
| 7:14 | Hou streit is the yate, and narwy the weye, that ledith to lijf, and ther ben fewe that fynden it. |
| 7:15 | Be ye war of fals prophetis, that comen to you in clothingis of scheep, but withynneforth thei ben as wolues of raueyn; |
| 7:16 | of her fruytis ye schulen knowe hem. Whether men gaderen grapis of thornes, or figus of breris? |
| 7:17 | So euery good tre makith good fruytis; but an yuel tre makith yuel fruytis. |
| 7:18 | A good tre may not make yuel fruytis, nethir an yuel tre make good fruytis. |
| 7:19 | Euery tre that makith not good fruyt, schal be kyt doun, and schal be cast in to the fier. |
| 7:20 | Therfor of her fruytis ye schulen knowe hem. |
| 7:21 | Not ech man that seith to me, Lord, Lord, schal entre in to the kyngdom of heuenes; but he that doith the wille of my fadir that is in heuenes, he schal entre in to the kyngdoom of heuenes. |
| 7:22 | Many schulen seie to me in that dai, Lord, Lord, whether we han not prophesied in thi name, and han caste out feendis in thi name, and han doon many vertues in thi name? |
| 7:23 | And thanne Y schal knouleche to hem, That Y knewe you neuere; departe awei fro me, ye that worchen wickidnesse. |
| 7:24 | Therfor ech man that herith these my wordis, and doith hem, schal be maad lijk to a wise man, that hath bildid his hous on a stoon. |
| 7:25 | And reyn felde doun, and flodis camen, and wyndis blewen, and russchiden `in to that hous; and it felde not doun, for it was foundun on a stoon. |
| 7:26 | And euery man that herith these my wordis, and doith hem not, is lijk to a fool, that hath bildid his hous on grauel. |
| 7:27 | And reyn cam doun, and floodis camen, and wyndis blewen, and thei hurliden ayen that hous; and it felde doun, and the fallyng doun therof was greet. |
| 7:28 | And it was doon, whanne Jhesus hadde endid these wordis, the puple wondride on his techyng; |
| 7:29 | for he tauyte hem, as he that hadde power, and not as the scribis `of hem, and the Farisees. |
