1 Timothy - Chapter: 4

>
4:1Now the Spirit speaketh expresly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giuing heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of deuils:
4:2Speaking lies in hypocrisie, hauing their conscience seared with a hote iron,
4:3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to absteine from meates, which God hath created to bee receiued with thankesgiuing of them which beleeue, and know the trueth.
4:4For euery creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be receiued with thankesgiuing:
4:5For it is sanctified by the word of God, and prayer.
4:6If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Iesus Christ, nourished vp in the wordes of faith, and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
4:7But refuse prophane and olde wiues fables, and exercise thy selfe rather vnto godlinesse.
4:8For bodily exercise profiteth litle, but godlinesse is profitable vnto all things, hauing promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
4:9This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation:
4:10For therfore we both labour, and suffer reproch, because we trust in the liuing God, who is the Sauiour of all men, specially of those that beleeue.
4:11These things command & teach.
4:12Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the beleeuers, in word, in conuersation, in charitie, in spirit, in faith, in puritie.
4:13Till I come, giue attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
4:14Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was giuen thee by prophesie, with the laying on of the hands of the Presbyterie.
4:15Meditate vpon these things, giue thy selfe wholly to them, that thy profiting may appeare to all.
4:16Take heed vnto thy selfe, and vnto the doctrine: continue in them: for in doing this, thou shalt both saue thy selfe, and them that heare thee.

4:1The sprete speaketh euydently, that in ye latter tymes some shal departe from the faith, and shal geue hede vnto spretes of erroure, and deuelish doctrynes, of them
4:2which speake false thorow ypocrysie, and haue their coscience marked with an whote yron,
4:3forbyddinge to mary, and comaundynge to abstayne fro the meates, which God hath created to be receaued wt geuynge thankes of them which beleue and knowe the trueth.
4:4For euery creature off God is good, and nothinge to be refused, yt is receaued with thankesgeuynge:
4:5for it is sanctifyed by the worde of God and prayer.
4:6Yf thou shalt put the brethren in remembraunce of these thinges, thou shalt be a good mynister of Iesu Christ, which hast bene norished vp in the wordes of faith and of good doctryne, which thou hast folowed hither to.
4:7As for vngoostly and olde wyuesh fables, cast them awaye, but exercyse thy selfe vnto godlynes.
4:8For bodely exercyse profyteth litle, but godlynes is profytable vnto all thinges, as a thinge which hath promyses of the life that is now, and of the life for to come.
4:9This is a sure sayenge, & of all partes worthy to be receaued.
4:10For therfore we laboure and suffre rebuke, because we hope in the lyuynge God, which is the Sauioure of all men, but specially of those that beleue.
4:11Soch thinges commaunde thou and teach.
4:12Let no man despyse yi youth, but be thou vnto them that beleue, an ensample, in worde, in couersacion, in loue, in ye sprete, in faith, in purenesse.
4:13Geue attendaunce to readynge, to exhortacion, to doctryne, vntyll I come.
4:14Be not necligent in the gifte that is geuen the thorow prophecye, with layege on of the handes of the Elders.
4:15These thinges exercyse, and geue thy selfe vnto them, that thine increase maye be manifest vnto euery man.
4:16Take hede vnto thy selfe, and to learnynge, cotynue in these thinges. For yf thou so do, thou shalt saue thy selfe, and them that heare the.

4:1But the spirit seith opynli, that in the laste tymes summen schulen departe fro the feith, yyuynge tent to spiritis of errour, and to techingis of deuelis; that speken leesing in ipocrisie,
4:2and haue her conscience corrupt,
4:3forbedinge to be weddid, to absteyne fro metis, whiche God made to take with doyng of thankingis, to feithful men, and hem that han knowe the treuthe.
4:4For ech creature of God is good, and no thing is to be cast awei, which is takun with doyng of thankyngis;
4:5for it is halewid bi the word of God, and bi preyer.
4:6Thou puttynge forth these thingis to britheren, schalt be a good mynystre of Crist Jhesu; nurschid with wordis of feith and of good doctryne, which thou hast gete.
4:7But eschewe thou vncouenable fablis, and elde wymmenus fablis; haunte thi silf to pitee.
4:8For bodili exercitation is profitable to litle thing; but pitee is profitable to alle thingis, that hath a biheest of lijf that now is, and that is to come.
4:9A trewe word, and worthi al acceptacioun.
4:10And in this thing we trauelen, and ben cursid, for we hopen in lyuyng God, that is sauyour of alle men, moost of feithful men.
4:11Comaunde thou this thing, and teche.
4:12No man dispise thi yongthe, but be thou ensaumple of feithful men in word, in lyuyng, in charite, in feith, in chastite.
4:13Tyl Y come, take tent to redyng, to exortacioun and teching.
4:14Nyle thou litil charge the grace which is in thee, that is youun to thee bi profecie, with putting on of the hondis of preesthod.
4:15Thenke thou these thingis, in these be thou, that thi profiting be schewid to alle men.
4:16Take tent to thi silf and to doctryn; be bisi in hem. For thou doynge these thingis, schalt `make bothe thi silf saaf, and hem that heren thee.
