2 Corinthians - Chapter: 11

>
11:1Wolde to God ye coulde suffre me a lytell in my folyshenes: yea, and I praye you, forbeare me.
11:2For I am gelous ouer you with godly gelousye. For I coupled you to one man, to make you a chaste virgyn to Christe.
11:3But I feare leste as the serpente begyled Eue thorowe hys suttelty, euen so youre wyttes shoulde be corrupte from the synglenes that is in Christe.
11:4For yf he that commeth, preache another Iesus then hym whom we preached: or yf ye receyue another spiryte then that whiche ye haue receyued: other another Gospell then that ye haue receyued, ye myght ryghte well haue bene content.
11:5I impose that I was not behynde the chief Apostles.
11:6Though I be rude in speakynge, yet I am not so in knoweledge. Howe be it amonge you: we are knowen to the vttermoste what we are in all thynges.
11:7Dyd I therein synne, because I submytted my selfe, that ye myght be exalted, and because I preached to you the Gospell of God fre?
11:8I robbed other congregacyons, and toke wages of them, to do you seruyce with al.
11:9And when I was present with you, and had nede, I was greuous to no man, for that whiche was lackynge vnto me, the brethren whiche came from Macedonia, supplyed: and in all thynge I kept my selfe that I shoulde not be greuous to you, & so wyl I kepe my selfe.
11:10Yf the trueth of Christe be in me, thys reioysynge shall not be taken from me in the regyons of Achaia.
11:11Wherfore? Because I loue you not? God knoweth.
11:12Neuerthelesse what I do, that wyll I do, to cut awaye occasyon from them which desyre occasyon, that they myght be founde lyke vnto vs in that wherein they reioyce.
11:13For these false Apostles are disceytfull workers, and fashyon them selues lyke vnto the Apostles of Christe.
11:14And no maruail for Satan hym selfe is chaunged into the fashyon of an angell of lyghte.
11:15Therfore it is no greate thynge, thoughe hys mynysters fashyon them selues as thoughe they were the mynisters of rightuousnes, whose end shalbe accordynge to theyr dedes.
11:16I saye agayne, lest anye man thynke that I am folyshe, or els euen nowe take me as a fole, that I maye boaste my selfe a lyttell.
11:17That I speake, I speake it not after the wayes of the Lorde, but as it were folishly, while we are nowe come to bostynge.
11:18Seyng that manye reioyce after the fleshe, I will reioyse also.
11:19For ye suffer foles gladly, because that ye youre selues are wyse.
11:20For ye suffre euen yf a man brynge you into bondage: yf a man deuoure, yf a man take yf a man exalte hym selfe, yf a man smite you on the face.
11:21I speake as concernynge rebuke, as thoughe we had bene weake. Howe be it, wherein soeuer any man dare be bolde (I speake folyshly) I dare be bolde also.
11:22They are Hebrues, so am I: They are Israelytes, euen so am I. They are the seede of Abraham, euen so am I.
11:23They are the ministers of CHRISTE (I speake as a fole) I am more: In labours more aboundaunte: In strypes aboue measure: In pryson more plentuouslye: In death ofte.
11:24Of the Iewes .v. tymes receyued I euerye tyme .xl. strypes saue one.
11:25Thryse was I beaten with roddes. I was once stoned. I suffered thryse shipwracke. Nyght and daye haue I bene in the depe of the sea.
11:26In iorneyeyng often: in parils of waters: in parylles of robbers: in ieoperdyes amonge the heathen. I haue bene in peryls in cytyes, in peryls in wyldernes, in peryls in the sea, in peryls among false brethren,
11:27in laboure and trauayle, in watchyng often, in hunger, in thyrste, in fastynges often, in colde, and in nakednes.
11:28And besyde the thynges whiche outwardelye happen vnto me, I am combered dayelye, and do care for all congregations.
11:29Who is weake, and I am not weake? Who is hurte in the faythe, and my herte burneth not?
11:30Yf I muste nedes reioyce, I wyll reioyce of myne infirmities.
11:31The God and father of oure Lorde Iesus Christ, whiche is blessed for euermore, knoweth that I lye not
11:32In the citie of Damascon the gouerner of the people vnder king Aretas, layd watche in the citie of the Damascens, and woulde haue caught me,
11:33and at a wyndowe was I let doune in a basket thorow the wall, and so scaped hys handes.

11:1Wold to God, ye could haue suffred me a lytell in my folyshnes: yee, ye do also forbeare me.
11:2For I am gelous ouer you wt godly gelousye: For I haue coupled you to one man, that ye shulde make your selues a chaste virgin vnto Christ.
11:3But I feare lest it come to passe that as the serpent begyled Eue thorowe hys subteltye, euen so your wittes shulde be corrupte from the synglenes that ye had toward Christ.
11:4For yf he that commeth preache another Iesus then hym whom we preached: or yf ye receaue another sprete then that which ye haue receaued, ether another Gospell then that ye haue receaued, ye might right well haue bene content.
11:5For I suppose that I was not behynde the chefe Apostles.
11:6But though I be rude in speakinge, yet I am not so in knowledge. Howbeit amonge you, we haue bene well knowen to the vtmost what we are in all thinges.
11:7Dyd I therin synne, because I submytted my selfe, that ye might be exalted: & because I preached to you the Gospell of God fre?
11:8I robbed other congregacyons, & toke wages of them, to do you seruyce.
11:9And when I was present wt you, & had nede I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lackynge vnto me, the brethren which came from Macedonia, supplied, and in all thinges I kept my selfe so that I shuld not be chargeable to any man, and so wyll I kepe my selfe.
11:10If the trueth of Christ be in me, thys reioysyng shall not be taken from me in the regions of Achaia.
11:11Wherfore? Because I loue you not? God knoweth.
11:12Neuertheles, what I do, that wyll I do, to cut awaye occasyon from them which desyre occasion: that they might be founde lyke vnto vs, in that wherin they reioyce.
11:13For soch fals apostles are disceatfull workers, and fassy on them selues lyke vnto the apostles of Christ.
11:14And no maruayle: for Satan him selfe is chaunged into the fassyon of an angell of light.
11:15Therfore it is no great thynge though hys mynisters fassyon them selues, as though they were the ministers of ryghtewesnes: whose ende shalbe accordyng to theyr dedes.
11:16I saye agayne, lest eny man thynke that I am folysshe: or els euen nowe take ye me as a foole, that I also maye boast my selfe a lytell.
11:17That I speake, I speake not after the Lorde: but as it were folyshly, in thys matter of boastinge.
11:18Seynge that many reioyce after the flesshe, I wyll reioyce also.
11:19For ye suffre foles gladly, seynge ye youre selues are wyse.
11:20For ye suffre yf a man bryng you into bondage, yf a man deuoure, yf a man take yf a man exalte him selfe, yf a man smyte you on the face.
11:21I speake as concerning rebuke, as though we had bene weake, Howbeit, wherinsoeuer eny man dare be bolde (I speake folyshly) I dare be bolde also.
11:22They are Ebrues, euen so am I. They are Israelites, euen so am I. They are the seede of Abraham, euen so am I.
11:23They are the mynisters of Chryst (I speake as a foole) I am more. In labours more aboundante: In strypes aboue measure: In preson more plenteouslye: In deeth ofte.
11:24Of the Iewes fyue tymes receaued I euery tyme .xl. strypes saue one.
11:25Thryse was I beaten wt roddes, I was once stoned, I suffered thryse shypwracke. Nyght and daye haue I bene in the deepe see.
11:26In iorneying often: in parels of waters: in parels of robbers: in ieopardyes of myne awne nacyon: in ieopardyes among the hethen: in parels in the citie: in parels in wildernes: in parels in the see: in parels amonge false brethren:
11:27in laboure & trauayle: in watchinges often: in honger and thyrst: in fastynges often: in colde and nakednes:
11:28besyde the thinges which outwardly happen vnto me. I am combred daylye, and do care for all congregacyons.
11:29Who is weake, and I am not weake? who is offended, & I burne not?
11:30If I must nedes boast, I wyll boaste of the thynges that concerne myne infirmyties.
11:31The God & father of oure Lorde Iesus Christ, which is blessed for euermore knoweth that I lye not.
11:32In the cytie of Damascon the gouerner of the people vnder king Aretas, layd watch in the cytie of the Damascens, and wold haue caught me,
11:33and at a windowe was I let doune in a basket thorowe the wall, and so scaped I hIs handes.

11:1Woulde to God, yee coulde suffer a litle my foolishnes, and in deede, ye suffer me.
11:2For I am ielous ouer you, with godly ielousie: for I haue prepared you for one husband, to present you as a pure virgine to Christ:
11:3But I feare least as the serpent beguiled Eue through his subtiltie, so your mindes shoulde be corrupt from the simplicitie that is in Christ.
11:4For if he that commeth, preacheth another Iesus whome we haue not preached: or if yee receiue another spirite whome ye haue not receiued: either another Gospell, which yee haue not receiued, ye might well haue suffered him.
11:5Verely I suppose that I was not inferior to the very chiefe Apostles.
11:6And though I be rude in speaking, yet I am not so in knowledge, but among you wee haue beene made manifest to the vttermost, in all things.
11:7Haue I committed an offence, because I abased my selfe, that ye might be exalted, and because I preached to you ye Gospell of God freely?
11:8I robbed other Churches, and tooke wages of them to doe you seruice.
11:9And when I was present with you, and had neede, I was not slouthfull to the hinderance of any man: for that which was lacking vnto me, the brethre which came from Macedonia, supplied, and in all thinges I kept and will keepe my selfe, that I should not be grieuous to you.
11:10The trueth of Christ is in me, that this reioycing shall not be shut vp against me in the regions of Achaia.
11:11Wherefore? because I loue you not? God knoweth.
11:12But what I doe, that will I doe: that I may cut away occasion from them which desire occasion, that they might be found like vnto vs in that wherein they reioyce.
11:13For such false apostles are deceitfull workers, and transforme themselues into the Apostles of Christ.
11:14And no marueile: for Satan himselfe is transformed into an Angel of light.
11:15Therefore it is no great thing, though his ministers transforme themselues, as though they were the ministers of righteousnes, whose end shall be according to their workes.
11:16I say againe, Let no man thinke that I am foolish, or els take mee euen as a foole, that I also may boast my selfe a litle.
11:17That I speake, I speake it not after the Lord: but as it were foolishly, in this my great boasting.
11:18Seeing that many reioyce after the flesh, I will reioyce also.
11:19For ye suffer fooles gladly, because that yee are wise.
11:20For ye suffer, euen if a man bring you into bondage, if a man deuoure you, if a man take your goods, if a man exalt himselfe, if a man smite you on the face.
11:21I speake as concerning the reproche: as though that we had bene weake: but wherein any man is bold (I speake foolishly) I am bold also.
11:22They are Hebrues, so am I: they are Israelites, so am I: they are the seede of Abraham, so am I:
11:23They are the ministers of Christ (I speake as a foole) I am more: in labours more aboundant: in stripes aboue measure: in prison more plenteously: in death oft.
11:24Of the Iewes fiue times receiued I fourtie stripes saue one.
11:25I was thrise beaten with roddes: I was once stoned: I suffered thrise shipwracke: night and day haue I bene in the deepe sea.
11:26In iourneying I was often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of mine owne nation, in perils among the Gentiles, in perils in the citie, in perils in wildernes, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren,
11:27In wearinesse and painefulnesse, in watching often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in colde and in nakednesse.
11:28Beside the thinges which are outwarde, I am combred dayly, and haue the care of all the Churches.
11:29Who is weake, and I am not weake? who is offended, and I burne not?
11:30If I must needes reioyce, I will reioyce of mine infirmities.
11:31The God, euen the Father of our Lord Iesus Christ, which is blessed for euermore, knoweth that I lie not.
11:32In Damascus the gouernour of the people vnder King Aretas, layde watch in the citie of the Damascens, and would haue caught me.
11:33But at a window was I let downe in a basket through the wall, and escaped his handes.
